Just struck me, another rugby rule I'd like to see in football - ball's not out until it hits the ground out of play, you get some good gymnastics with that
 
He's never quite figured out the concept of being an 'impartial' pundit has he. It's always 'we, we, we'. I mean you might as well interview someone in a comedy english wig outside the stadium.
I think being 'impartial' is about how you judge the games/situations, not necessarily whether you show any particular allegiance.

Plus, he's not a dick about it, and he's only one of a number in the broadcast. Plus, I'm pretty sure that most broadcasters at the very least refer to the national team as "we", whether that's England or broadcasters in other countries.
 
Fair play though strung out , the crowd is going to be doing some serious whistling in the final and that will feel light hearted verging on the funny.
