Chips over fries every time and it's much much more than food snobbery. I can't stand MCs as a company. Can’t believe we have such snobbery about such a basic foodstuff

Yes we know. You’re still not getting a certificate of virtue. You’ll have to earn your halo in another wayChips over fries every time and it's much much more than food snobbery. I can't stand MCs as a company.

Yeh, will go for their veggie burgers as wellSo, about Burger King..?
Will do their veggie burgers when they have them but otherwise they can fork off.
InedibleSo, about Burger King..?
Tbh, rarely go to either of the mac outlets but BK have certainly improved their veggie burger, had one last year that was barbecue or char grilled and it was heavenly.I spent a long time living on one of Hong Kong's outlying islands, where most of the residents, and restaurants, went strictly vegan for three days for an annual festival.
Every year, the sole McDonald's on the island joined in and turned its menu completely vegan and every year, I respected that so much that I tried one of their veggie burgers. They were without a doubt the worst burgers I have ever eaten, vegetarian or non-vegetarian - not sure what the fuck they were made from, though there was definitely an absurd amount of sweetcorn in there - but I appreciated the effort.
Chips are way better than McDonalds ones, but they’re still operating in Russia and funding their war through taxes. So, about Burger King..?
French fries are by no means an exclusively McDonald's thing. Plenty of smaller outlets offer them ...

The chicken burgers are better than the beef ones.Inedible
Well, usually as a side. Snails or duck salad are more common as starters.Pretty much every cafe and bistro in France, for starters.
let people call them chips ffsYou mean fries?
If I ask for chips, I expect spud that's sliced into batton shapes then fried.
If I ask for chips, I expect spud that's sliced into batton shapes then fried. I don't expect reconstituted adulterated mash shaped into twiglets then fried.
You've had your chips.let people call them chips ffs
And don't forget the highly addictive stuff they put in themThis is also my problem with Pringles.
You'd think... except they're not.
Such a thing exists and looks lovely:It's exactly what they are. This notion that they mash them into some kind of slurry then form them into chip shapes is ridiculous. Why would they piss about doing that when they can just cut the fucking spuds into the shape they want in the first place?
