when thatcher dies...

Been there, done that. Got the metalwork.

I've plenty of compassion for people who don't deserve to suffer.
I've none for the politicians that build their careers on the backs of corpses.
The problem with people like you, is that too often you haven't seen enough suffering, death and destruction (if any) to realise that if the power-mongers suffered some themselves, they might not be quite so fond of causing it.

Fuck off, there's a good little sanctimonious cunt. :)

He ain't worth the bother mate.

I only speak for myself, but I'd have thought that targeting those that hold power would be the most effective and least costly (in terms of human suffering) targets.
Almost exactly the point I was trying to lead him towards. There is a tendency to talk about "innocent civilians" being illegitimate targets in a conflict. Those who ultimately hold the responsibility for directing wars - the government - are civilians, though. It is convenient that those same civilians rule themselves impermissible targets.

I have always believed in taking responsibility for ones actions seriously; both my own and that of others.

I think those of you who think that you will be allowed to just 'celebrate' Lady Ts passing without getting a nasty reaction are in for somewhat of a shock.

For every one of you workshy fucktards who loathe her are several who thought she was smashing and aint going to just sit back and watch you think that you somehow own the streets to celebrate her death.

Lady T is a national icon and changed this country for ever. She set the agenda for the next 100 years and her legacy will be celebrated long after which ever obscure left wing twat who is the current flavor of the month has been forgotten about.

Poor deluded fellow. I believe that ECT is recommended to rectify such delusory thinking.

sure about that? It might be worth you looking at a few election results and seeing how the maths works out.

And then, you know, punching yourself repeatedly in the balls till you pass out or something.

Sorry, but that's just a totally wrong and vile thing to ask someone to do.

Don't you have any sympathy at all for the fact that Stoat Boy doesn't have any testicles and so can't punch himself in the balls? :(

You're right IB, it's an obvious point, it's equally as wrong to write off something that still shows its power today. Even by this crap thread. It's a line.

Yeah, that's fair enough, it was more the idea of "mourning" that I was responding to.
There are memorials in every community to the two world wars of the previous century. The 80s is now just an era of bad hair and big phones, suitable for crap list-programmes on channel five. The political content has been airbrushed out; the class anger should not be allowed to dissipate.

LOL. So you think its all perfectly acceptable to impose your wills on public spaces
The clue is in the fact that they're "public spaces".
to celebrate the death of an old lady but when its pointed out that people will object to this and react suddenly its being lippy ?

Wankers. I shit you left wing types.

You couldn't shit a soft turd even with a full bowel and a packet of stool-softeners.

Aye and those memorials don't exactly serve to reinforce resistance to war and militarism instead they are props in a narrative of the heroic battle to protect "British Freedom" and the great sacrifices that the past generation endured, so we should be bloody greatful etc etc.

Nothing is just something ffs

Uhuh. And I was drawing a parallel. It suits a particular class to remember those conflicts in that way. I concede my use of the word "mourning" perhaps detracted from my message.

Well I will be happy to be up in London, my home city, to express my views should this mythical Trafalgar square event actually happen but with much else that you on the left try to organize its got about two hopes of happening.

And any lariness will be a reaction to you supposed leftie street fighting types.

But I think its very telling that the left can only celebrate the death of a person. Nothing positive or constructive. But its all par for the course with you lot.

The modern definition of a busted flush. And no matter how many litres of white lightning you pour down your throats the Ladys legacy is going to be all around and your celebrations will always be nothing more than the sort of noises a corpse might make after being left to rot for a couple of days.

Tell you what, tough guy, look for a bloke with a beard and using two walking sticks, who's wearing a Bundeswehr flecktarn-pattern field cap. If you can find me, I'll tie one of my arms behind my back, let someone look after my walking sticks, and let you throw the first punch and you still won't land a blow before I knock you on your arse. :D
Then you can come on Urban and whine about the evil anarcho-cripple and his ten leftie mates ambushing you and beating you up. ;)

Are you accepting tenders for the ticket concession?

What legacy is that then?

Unaffordable housing?

A generation of people with educations and qualifications and crippling debts unable to do anything but work in call centres?

Shit public transport run by private operators (but more expensive to the taxpayer than the old system was)?

Or the few cunts who did do well out of her and stood around pouring champers while Rome burned?

I think it's about time we posted that pic from a thread recently with Reagen etc standing around laughing and clinking glasses and going "We told them all that the wealth would 'trickle down'."

:D

I mean Christ, some of the lefties on here, well I don't always see eye to eye with them let's put it that way on some things, but Thatcher was a fucking evil evil evil prime minister, there's absolutely no doubt about that.

So you have seen death and destruction. Will you agree it's not justified?
If so, will you agree the IRA's attempt on Thatcher was equally not justified?

So, assuming you still believe murder of politicians is fine, how about Pak Harto in Indonesia. He had political 'enemies' killed. Was that OK?

He ain't worth the bother mate.

I know.

Ever notice that loads of the right-wingers you get turning up on bulletin boards and chatting shit about evil lefties and how Thatch was great didn't take the Queen's shilling?
Yep, that's right, they love their country and their politics so much they're too gutless to put themselves on the line for them. :D
