Tesco Red Burgundy 2011 - it may have improved over the past few years or so of languishing in my unheated house- in spite of the screwtop - low acidity, fruity tannins.
Definitely a fair bit more character than Aldi's pinot noir ...

So I'm in Morrisons and there's the 25% off six bottles and this is down to £6.99 So I'm thinking yeay that's not much over a fiver a bottle for a decent rioja so I grabs a box off the shelf. I only went for a curry and some chapatis

The place was heaving as usual so I got in the self serve lane and when I got to the till I try and scan the box. "You'll have to scan a bottle" shouts the helper who is running around 8 tills trying to get everyone through whilst all the red lights keep going off. The poor lass looked like she was running a marathon. So I puts the box on the bagging area and then opened it to get a bottle out and then i get's the id required bollix and the till freezes. Helper girl is going ballistic at her manager because all the tills keep crashing so I wait patiently she comes over does that thing with her keyfob and puts the bottle in the box and say's "That's it now I've done it for you." I scans curry and chapati, pays and off I goes home. I've just found the receipt in my pocket
