Proper schnapps, then, or "slivovitz" if it's distilled purely from plums. Good stuff, if sometimes a bit painful the morning after!

Nice. I'm a fan of dry still ciders, although sometimes they've got a bit more of a bitter back-taste. The Ponty doesn't, just apples 'n' alcohol.

Tonight, a half-bottle (short half-pint) of another of the "take-outs" Greebo got from Brixton Hatter - the Worleys Stoke Red SV cider. A nice crisp, punchy "lightly sparkling" medium cider with that slight "farmyard" smell a lot of good properly made (from whole apples rather than concentrate) ciders have.
