Well the extra chilli just burnt me mouth, so I've now relented and added some prawns, if only to take up some of the heat

aubergines dont tend to release much water, you want mushrooms for that purpose!
I got round the problem anyway herbs, and used your wiki recipe for most of it - ta mate! I'm having the second lot of it tonight - it's rarrrr :)

I'm gonna have to have a go at risotto. I've only had one, done by a cheffy mate, and wasn't keen on it - it was a bit cheesy for my liking, but I'd give another one a go

I never add cheese, too overpowering. But if I did it would only be a tiny sprinkle of parmesan on the top after serving.

Was going to have toasties. Forgot to buy cheese.

Grilling all sorts of vegies on the sandwich toaster. Sweet potatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, courgettes and fruits :)

It's working well. May have a chorizo and bean toasty later also :)

Yeh, I think this one was ladled in parmesan, which isn't a problem usually as I love the stuff, but it just tasted ugh in the risotto

I had a proper Tea - crumpets (home-made) with marmite, a slice of pork pie with Branston pickle, a wodge of bread with pate, and some cold sliced meat. It was tasty.

We had fish and chips. We were supposed to be having ham but himself forgot to get it out of the freezer

I'm downing a bottle of white wine and then I'm opening another one*

*thus blowing the sober january and weight loss for january threads at the same time*
 :(

White wine will make you lose weight :)

Only one thread blown if you view things as you should do!

I've not eaten yet

I like to allow the alcohol to saturate my bloodstream a little :D

mate - it's only 2 days before the end of january isn't it? so it's allowed!:D

We had spinach and chickpeas from the recipe wiki with rye and caraway seed bread and a green salad. It was yummy and very healthy.

I had homemande watercress soup for lunch

*that'll cancel out the fish n chips*

In addition to my wonderful asparagus risotto and potato and mushroom bake, i had a few glasses of gavi that was £2.50 more expensive than the one i had yesterday, and boy was it much tastier. it was far less acidic, and it didnt make my teeth feel like they were dissolving. well tasty. went tot he pub to meet my mate, had four carlsberg, got bored, came home, now ive got leftover penne al cafolviore (penne with cauliflower) thats been in the fridge for 2 days, and its great

i really cant believe that yesterdays wine passed a blind taste test (as implied by the docg label). fucks sake, by 'blind' do they mean lack of optical stimuli or lack of tonge-bud stimuli? the shit was like pure fucking lemon juice i tell you. the c--t who tasted that must havew not only had a blindfold over his eyes, but a tongefold over his tonge, preventing him from tastin anything,

Lets get one thing straight: I could have produced better 'wine' by adding a few drops of extra virgin olive oil to a glass ove slightly diluted lemon juice

I had some chicken in the freezer, so am gonna make a similar curry to Friday night's. Fry 2 onions, bung in turmeric, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and chilli powder, fry chicken, and then garlic, chuck a tin of tomatoes in, some leftover chickpeas, a bit more liquid, a fuckload of spinach, and simmer. I've got a wee bit of the veg and prawn curry left, so will chuck that in as well. Might do some bombay potatoes cos I've never had them and quite fancy them.

patate insalata de sicilia ( I think). New potato slices, black olives, cherry tomatoes, parsley, capers, errrm,.. olive oil black pepper,

should have had fresh basil, oregano and thyme too.
