There are lots of good snacks to be had too that make an essential contribution to our overall diet - raw veg, fruit, dried fruit, seeds, nuts, yoghurts, ricecakes, oatcakes etc (or is that just me? )
I've been doing the Holford Low-GL/Optimum Nutrition diet which requires you to eat every couple of hours or so. I love it because I never feel hungry (amazing for me), and my blood sugar levels must be stable because I'm not having any cravings for anything (not even crisps, my usual weakness).
For today's snacks I had oatcakes with trout pate, and I'll have an orange or apple and some shoyu seed mix later.
