We use catsan litter. Is that good? I didn't know that was a factor.

The special food they gave us is very wet, and he chowed down on that happily this morning. He even took his pill, he's such a good boy.

Mine puked in my bed.

Again.

Fucking cats

I've never used catsan. Is it gritty? The lightweight stuff from tesco is gritty, absorbs the wee, but it gives off a fine dust, and I reckon it's that that aggravates her bits

I think Catsan is quite gritty, but not too dusty. We always use the woodchip stuff these days, I find it the easiest to clean up and the most smell-absorbent.

Woodchip is excellent for absorbing the smells actually, just not brilliant for covering up poo

tonight I am making Orang Utan's Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce for my housemates and ex housemate.

At some point i'd like to make a chickpea and spinach balti I found a recipe for but dont like cauliflour much - what could i use instead of cauliflour?

Brocolli?

I have used the cheap tescos one a couple of times, particularly recently. It is very dusty. That can aggravate it? I feel very guilty now :( Poor Hoggy :(

I shall endevour to look for woodchip litter instead.

I am going to make a pizza from scratch :)

Oooh! That's on my "to do" list...apparently the secret to bitchin' home made pizza is to have a pizza plate or dish or summat - anyone verify?

Nah, fuck that - making great pizza is piss easy (if I can do it, anyone can). Just roll the base out really thin, make a tasty sauce to go on top, make your pizza, stick it on a baking tray and bung it in a hot oven. You really can't go wrong :)

good idea.

would that work the same? i've always though Cauliflower was much tougher than Brocolli
I dunno - I was just thinking of a similar veg and brocolli is cauliflower with a tan

That sounds lovely :D

I used to home cook some Thai food, and a lot of Chinese. Have to dig my wok out again.

I went to Yo!Sushi for my lunch with my friend.

I had a seafood broth.

+ lots of little sushi dishes. I liked the Salmon Katsu. nomnomnom.

actually i decided to pick up mideast food....salad, lentil soup, chicken and lamb kebabs, chicken tawook, pita bread....

mmmm

Tonight is pasta. Got to take the Hogster to the vet again, so won't get home until gone 7.

Hoggy update: He's still weeing blood, but at least he's still weeing. We spent much of last night allowing him to wee on us because the poor mite's in pain and feels like he needs to go all the time (ever had cystitis ladies?). I am nasty mummy at the moment because I keep giving him pills and wiping his bottom. Poor Hogster.

Alex has stayed home with him today.

(Sorry. I should really stop talking about cat wee here, shouldn't I?)

Spoilt last night as my wife cooked a wicked chilli.
Cooked to perfection and just the right level of spices!

Tonight I have no idea, the cupboards are pretty bare and Fridays are often a lazy night domestically.....

Might even get a curry if the funds are to hand.

:)

A sausage hotpot I think - if I bought some sausages from the butcher on Tuesday, how long should I leave it til I cook them?

Lol! At OU's tagline!

Tonight is individual fish pies - am using some well fanci alaskan salmon and king prawns - should I put anything else in - do you think it could handle a bit of broccoli for example?

There will also be wine and mashed potatoes I suspect. Yom.

We had veggie sausages inna bun with fried onions, mustard and ketchup last night, it was great  Feeling uninspired today though.
