last nite for dinner I had a tuna sandwich and chicken stew out of a can - both purchased from the local convenience store :(

and a handfull of peanuts

Moroccan style lamb shanks, but not made by me!
heo found them in the Taste the Difference section at Sainsburys, reduced to £4 (from an original £8  ...for two shanks  ).

Probably have them with some rice and whatever veg is available on the plot...I've got a bit of fresh coriander left, so maybe some nice spicy lemony marinated courgettes.

Last night I made a very delicious tom yam soup with some Thai stock cubes I found loitering about at the back of the cupboard...thought they weren't going to be all that, but fuck me, it was gorgeous. And there's loads left for my lunch today as well :)

Tonight I think it shall be baked potatoes with coleslaw

<vomit smilie>

My bizarre stew thing turned out luverly and there is just enough left for lunch today (there would have been more but my lodger is evil and greedy  )

Tonight I may have honey & thyme roasted squash, corn on the cob and lamb chops. Though I had a huge plate of Nigel Slater stylee spiced apple croissants this morning, so that + stew lunch = maybe not so hungry later...

I spent last night preparing tonight's feast - full on beef bourguignonne (sp) with broccoli and new potatoes as the veg - it's got 2 bottles of red plonk as the juice, about 1.5kg of chuck steak, carrots, shallots, garlic, celery, brandy, mushrooms etc - cost me near to £20 but it should feed at least 8. It will have been marinading for amost 24 hours and I'll be cookling it for at least 3 so it shouldn't taste too bad

My v. good friend gudge is off travelling round the world for a year with her other half, so I thought I'd see her off in style as I will miss her lots. I also haven't had a big fat cook up for a while either so I thought I might combine the 2 . . .

Didn't get me lentils last night. But Flashy did knock up some super roasties

Tonight has been a bit of a secret tea. Flashy got a free savoury feed but I can't reveal what cos that might get someone into trouble even though they were just trying to offload the stuff that would have gone in the bin otherwise. He enjoyed it a lot and even more knowing it was free when it should have been about 6 quid.

I got a free dinner at lunch today cos I went out on an end of project thank you meal. I had tomato and garlic pizza-ry bread thing for a starter and then BBQ ribs and chips for mains with gallons of Coke.

Then I bought chicken thai soup for tea. Very nice although I'm not sure the slices of galangal and big lime leaves should be left in it cos the flavour was fine but I like to eat all that's put in front of me and I struggled to justify picking at my food.

Flashy bought some pop and then for pud we went to Flashy's workplace and had freebies from there :D So all in all, we managed to scoff a starter, 2 mains, a bottle of pop, my Cokes at lunch and 2 puds for £4.79 :D

I'm having nothing tonight as I went out for lunch. The children had a stir fry. :)

LOL! Funny you should say that cos I very nearly wasn't. Thankfully my bladder seemed to be the size of a pea this afternoon so lots of trips to the loo kept me awake. It's al-ca-ma-hol that sends me off to sleep at lunchtime.

Lemon sole with roasted courgettes and new potatoes. Quick and easy 'cos I is knackered.

Tonight (again) I had grilled hallumi in a wholemeal pitta bread stuffed with salad and sliced black olives. I will prob have the same tomorrow...its the curse/pleasure of living alone.

ccccccccccoooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

toad in the hole with veggies and gravy - was marvellous *licks lips*

i had sausages , egg and toast. i quite fancy some cheese on toast, so i might make that in a minute or i could be good and wait till breakfast

tmw lunch will be left over sausage sandwhich , made with toast . cant say i am looking fwd to it

Scratch that - Mr K is buying us a curry :D It's so bad, we've had takeaway curry once a week for the last month at least. But fuck it :D

i was bit skeptical adding an avocado into my shake which was a blend of bananas, nuts, soy milk and protein powder.
but it's surprisingly good.

Bit of an odd mix this evening. I had Biddlesford Organic Moroccan lamb soup, which I bought mainly because it comes in a kilner jar but was very nice. But that wasn't enough for two, so then we had some spinach & ricotta tortellini. Which was alright. Meh.

avacado works in almost anything :)

I've got some salmon for tea tonight, and can't decide what to have with it

I have some noodles I think in the cupboard somewhere, so it might be those, with some veggies

it'll be a case of standing in the kitchen at tea time and trying to work it out :D

Probably nothing for me as I've really lost my appetite lately but I might do the children a steak and kidney pie with some veg.

I'm making Enchildas tonight using veg from the in-laws allotment. I'm experimenting with salsa at the moment and using chillis that I've been growing on the windowsill.
