I was making apple crumble but I'd also strained the blackberries out of the bramble whisky. Not wanting to chuck them away I plonked them on top of the apples. Oh. My. Fucking. God
That sounds fanbloodytastic  I love the blackberry/apple combo anyway, it's one of the few fruity type things I'll eat, but they came out of whisky too?

I've taken a portion of something out of the freezer. I think its chilli, but it could be a stew of some sort...forgot to label it.

Jesus christ, what a bloody nightmare  I think I would have just sat down and cried :D

I did get a bit cross at Alex when he suggested it was my own fault because I didn't do what he said and go straight home instead of reporting it to the police straight away :D

There was no money or valuables in the purse, the theives didn't get any money off my cards, all's well that ends well.

Still bloody inconvenient though.

I'd be really upset if I lost my purse, it's never got any money in it but it's got lots of photos, driving licence, that sort of thing. :(

Anyway, tea tonight will be leftover spag bol for me and McDonalds for the kids on the way to or from some activity! It's swimming lessons for the boys after school and then one has a school disco, one is starting Cubs and the teenager is going to the cinema. :D

I might get to eat at 10 pm. :(

Going to make winter veg soup, but I reckon that'll be for tomorrow because it takes ages - no idea about tonight.

Had a REALLY nice dinner last night.

M&S chipolata sausages (6 for me and 4 for her)
Served on a bed of squashed (not mashed) potatoes with cheese
Herby gravy

Washed it all down with a bottle of red and then sat on the sofa sighing.

It was take away last night and tonight  I'm off to the food court in the new shopping centre. I'm too poorly to cook cos my sense of taste and smell is a bit hit and miss and I want to dive into some of the lovely looking cuisine there. Flashy is out for the football forabit tonight anyway. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :D

:( poor missfran and her purse.

I'm having indonesian hot rice salad for dinner tonight as I have a pack of beansprouts that need eating up.

Last night we didn't have the stew cos it still hadn't defrosted  ....so we had stir-fried king prawns, chinese leaf, broccolli and mushrooms in oyster sauce with noodles...and then had the stew tonight, with the planned dumplings and savoy cabbage and also some yellow beans and mange tout from the plot.

We're having a soup using the remnants of the veg in the fridge (leeks, carrots, celery) with some smoked Black Forest ham and pearl barley.

that sounds like a delish meal for a nice fall day :)

My boyfriend is making veggie sausages and sauteed potatoes even as we speak :) which is nice as I had a horrible driving lesson earlier and my confidence is a bit dented.

tonite my brother is cooking some ground chicken that is in a spicy mexican tomatoey sauce with onions, green peppers and jalapenos. i guess we'll have this over rice or inside tortillas. plus some corn on the side and maybe mexcian style beans? with lots of extra hot sauce to douse everything in.....mmmmm

The car isn't though, is it?

Sorry.

I ended up with a pack of walnut halves sat in the car in Sainsburys car park in between dropping one child off and waiting for the other to text me from the cinema for a lift home.

No, the car's fine, although my nerves are shot. Nothing much happened, it was just 'the difficult fourth lesson' where my instructor was trying to make me do too much and overestimated how capable I actually am. Also, just today he has changed cars, so instead of driving a comfy old Nissan like before I was driving some brand new beast with controls that feel well different, that's loads bigger than I'm used to so harder to judge distance from kerb/other cars, and in which the bastard fucking handbrake just would not pull up/release like it should, so we were constantly either rolling backwards or stalling  :( Now my hips and thighs ache from ragging the clutch, and I'm pissed off.

All normal, you are only on your fourth lesson! Don't let it dampen your confidence or enthusiasm, you are doing really well. :) One day it will all just 'click' and you won't even have to think about what you are doing.

Don't get too pissed off with yourself May. Took me about 70 lessons to get up to my test, and I found that I had good days and bad days all the way through. My instructor was very good and didn't mind me shouting and swearing :D

I'm having a bad food week. It might be Wagamama for tea tonight  as I'm off to see Nigella :) I'm still posting here to remind myself to have a proper home cooked week next week. :(
