What's for tea tonight? (#8)

oh, i've been told it's roast lamb, so that should be enough food. staying at my parents and they eat hardly anything. i'm gonna sneak out for fish n chips at lunch, cos they tend to share a can of soup for lunch. what kind of mental eats half a can of soup? does your appetite disappear when you get older or summat?

Mine are similar and my dad is veggie. It's actually a result, cos when they do a roast, there's loads of meat.

Posh corn beef hash type thing, layer of baked beans, layer of broken up corned beef and then a layer of mash baked until brown and then all topped off with loads of cheese and baked until cheese melts. GF is at Uni this evening so I get to make stuff that I like and she doesn't ;)

Welsh lamb loin chops with fresh rosemary from the garden done with carrots and broccoli. Will attempt gravy but cannot guarantee it will be lump-free.

Nut cutlets
baked potatoes
sprouts
tahini
cranberry sauce
maybe a dab of Dijon mustard to complement the sprouts

Costieres de Nimes - which I bought rather too much of a while back - I can't quite place the flavour at the moment.
It has acidity, the fruit is elusive.... it's quite claret-y, but in a light way .. there's oak ...

... definitely needs to breathe this one.

Very understated - may work with cheese when I treat myself in a few weeks' time -- MUST RESIST ....

had some rack of lamb - yum!
the starter was lush too - duck's neck stuffed with foie gras - yumyum!
and a rolo dessert for pud. yumyumyum!

Still ill and not got too much of an appetite, but it's just me and the boy tonight so fish is on the menu. Fried mackerel fillets with a baked potato (another thing the small girl won't eat  :D ) and tomatoes with salt and pepper. I was going to do cauli cheese too but I can't be arsed.

Watch out, you might get called a lazy cunt ;)

Hope you perk up soon hon. I'm off food again, but will have omelette if it changes by tonight.

LOL! :D

Yeah - it might not be a massive effort, but it's defo not no effort at all eh! Not compared to chucking a potato in the oven, cutting some cherry tomatoes in half and frying a couple of fish fillets!

Thankyou for the good wishes :) - fuck sake tho Biddly, your appetite has been gone for too long, eh?!? :( Are they trying you on different opt out diets now that the dairy and wheat one's done, or what?

Can you get soup down you at least? Or porridge (which is what I just had, with some blueberries and banana and maple syrup)!

I normally have porridge in the mornings, but not this morning... it'll come back when it's ready - will try some rice for lunch - got to eat something before cycling home.

Not trying me on anything at the mo, waiting for a referral to see specialist. So I twiddle my thumbs, keep schtum and deal with things til that comes through.

Aaah if only I could train her to do that and NOT then learn to empty out the freezer like a previous dog I used to live with did. :D
