Paella-inspired dishes for us tonight - chicken for me, seafood for N.
Trying out the absolute bargain paella rice that I bought in Lidl last week (Iberian week).

Lentil and aubergine curry and macaroni which sounds odd but its a Sudanese tradition. My ex is Sudanese and my son has a Big School Project which he's doing on cooking, cultural memory and what significance food takes on post-conflict \ when people have had to flee, so expecting a lot more in this vein. He's a fabulous cook so it's all very welcome!
