I haven't been shopping so I was rooting though the freezer and found a fish pie mix. So I've made a fish pie and automatically went to boil some eggs to put in it but my husband was horrified.

So fish pie with broccoli, peas and green beans and no boiled eggs.

Turmeric chicken from a Jamie Oliver book. Added some more spices, garlic, ginger and whatnot but delicious! Pics of what it looked like and what it was supposed to look like. Small Daughter won't eat broccoli (monster) so spring cabbage and sweetcorn instead.

I went to a Harvester! I had a chicken and padron pepper skewer with golden rice and lots of salad from the unlimited salad bar, daughter had a halloumi burger and chips, and there was a cookie sundae. It was surprisingly good.

For some reason last night I left myself a small amount of stifado for today - not entirely sure why because it wasn't much at all and I could have eaten it last night!

Anyway, I cooked some short macaroni and stirred it in then bunged some cheese on top, sort of a deconstructed pastitsio - twas lovely

Definitely the chicken en croute that was defrosted last night,not decided on veg as I haven't been to the shops yet,Will be devouring the strawberry trifle for dessert.Mr poppy the younger has eyeballed some faggots and hash browns.

I seem to have offered to make OH some tuna pasta before he goes to work tonight, so even though it isn't one of my favourite meals, I might as well make enough for me as well!

Last night we had stirfry: cashew nuts, 500g of ready prepared veg, a sweetheart cabbage, fine egg noodles, wagamamma firecracker sauce, sesame oil and sesame seeds on top.

Tonight it's lasagne with a salad and sweet potato airfried wedges.

Roast Spud for herself, cheese, sweetcorn, bacon bits, chicken toppings - I have no idea what order.

Vegetable soup, hummus, mashed boiled eggs (in a mug, me Dear old Nanny used to make it for me when I was a young lad) for me.

Nom Friday night tea of spicy wedges, spring onion and extra mature cheddar homelette (made with my daughter's hens' eggs, get in!), and a leafy salad I just got on discount, which I will dress with evoo and pomegranate balsamic (also a gift from my lass - it is soooo good).

I mentioned on the reduced to clear thread that I'd happened across some 21 day aged rump steaks, got 1.6kg (8 steaks) for a tenner and popped them in the freezer.

Well tonight I am going for it - rump steak, chips, mushrooms, onions, peas. Not sure about condiments/sauce yet, if there's a lot of bits on the bottom of the pan then a red wine reduction with a dollop of mustard in usually goes well.

Tonight we're having tex mex chicken pasta.
Basically all the flavours of chicken fajitas in a pasta dish, cooked in the slow cooker - soured cream, pasta and stock added for the last 50 minutes of cooking time.

I haven’t made it to Morrisons yet so it’s more of an aspiration than a reality at the moment. But I’m for sure going to be getting my hands on one of those!

I’ve just been corrected. The saltfish cakes are not for tea they’re for the family tomorrow.

We’re having Jerk Chicken instead.

I will get to taste the saltfish cakes tho’, 1 from each batch fried.
