What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Trump seems to like retweeting doctored videos.

Trump tweets doctored video of Democratic debate glitches

"Thank you @MSNBC, real professionals! @chucktodd @maddow," he tweeted with tags for moderators Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow, along with a doctored video of the incident.

The video starts with a clip of the technical difficulties on stage before fading to images of Trump walking on screen and waving at a crowd, set to Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" and looped audio of Todd and Maddow scrambling to fix the technical problems.

The video closes with a logo that, according to Mediaite, belongs to a pro-Trump group called the Lion Guard.

Supreme Court will not allow the census question about citizenship.

Trump wants to delay census after Supreme Court ruling on citizenship question

"Seems totally ridiculous that our government, and indeed Country, cannot ask a basic question of Citizenship in a very expensive, detailed and important Census, in this case for 2020," Mr. Trump tweeted.

"I have asked the lawyers if they can delay the Census, no matter how long, until the ... United States Supreme Court is given additional information from which it can make a final and decisive decision on this very critical matter. Can anyone really believe that as a great Country, we are not able the ask whether or not someone is a Citizen. Only in America!"

Lawmakers, including Congressional Republicans, questioned whether Mr. Trump had the authority to delay the census.

"I don't know if he can delay the census, I think it's set out in the constitution. I don't know how you waive it. But that's all I know," Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby said.

They've already made a final and decisive decision, that's what they do. This admin is like that person that keeps asking different people the same question until they find that one person who tells them what they want to hear even though everyone else is telling them the truth.

I think that means "until we can put another couple of Supreme Court picks on the court."

Didn't know quite where to put this, so I put it here....

If you're an American you probably grew up with Highlights magazine. Its a staple early childhood education that contains puzzles, games, articles on animals, etc. We couldn't afford a subscription, so when I went anywhere there was a waiting room, they were sure to have copies you could read.

Since the only entities that are listened to any more are businesses, I hope it has some effect. There does seem to be a growing backlash. Perhaps the way best way to lobby now is to explain to business how it effects their profit margins/corporate brand. I'm sorry to say that lobbying your congress critter has no effect. In fact, I'm fairly sure they just nod and then laugh behind everyone's back, and then count the cash they're being handed to run interference.

I guess we have to judge Trump by his results and so far they are not in, but from where I’m sitting he seems like a godawful negotiator. First China, then N Korea, now Iran, the same routine. Go on all guns blazing, pretend you’re spoiling for a fight then sit back and wait for concessions from the other side and when that doesn’t happen, try the Mr Nice routine and turn on the charm again.

If I can see it, I’m sure the Chinese, Iranians and N Koreans can understand his MO and realise they simply need to sit it out and refuse to back down.

If I’m wrong then Trump will get a much improved trade deal with China, a reformed and maybe reunified N Korea and a subdued Iran by the end of his hoped-for second term. Right now he seems under time pressure to start making progress so he has something to campaign against, so surely the US are in a position of weakness?

Bully boy tactics have worked for him dealing with suppliers in his business and indeed his personal life, he doesn't seem capable of grasping they won't work dealing with other countries.

AOC says Ivanka Trump not ‘a qualified diplomat’ in tweet about first daughter’s involvement at G-20

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is apparently not happy that first daughter Ivanka Trump accompanied her father on his trip to the G-20 summit.

The Democrat from New York commented on Twitter late Saturday after a BBC reporter posted a video showing Ivanka Trump alongside her father in a G-20 discussion that included French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other leaders.

“It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.”

Nineteen of the G20 have signed another climate change agreement. Guess which one hasn't.

Trump says no action is needed on climate change because US has ‘the cleanest water we’ve ever had, we have the cleanest air’

Donald Trump has again dismissed the need to tackle climate change by saying the US has the cleanest air and water “ever”.

The president, speaking at the G20 Summit in Japan, also claimed that wind power “does not work” because it has to be heavily subsidised.

“We have the cleanest water we have ever had, we have the cleanest air we’ve ever had, but I’m not willing to sacrifice the tremendous power of what we’ve built up over a long period of time and what I’ve enhanced and revived,” he said.

“I’m not sure that I agree with certain countries with what they are doing, they are losing a lot of power. I am talking about the powering of a plant.
“It doesn’t always work with a windmill. When the wind goes off, the plant isn’t working. It doesn’t always work with solar because solar’s just not strong enough, and a lot of them want to go to wind, which has caused a lot of problems.

“Wind doesn’t work for the most part without subsidy. The United States is paying tremendous amounts of subsidies for wind. I don’t like it, I don’t like it.”

Tucker Carlson justifies KJU's murderous regime: "You've got to be honest about what it means to lead a country, it means killing people. A lot of countries commit atrocities, including our allies."

The US manages its share, but he forgot to mention that

A few key takeaways: -KJU gets POTUS desire for pageantry and is willing to give it to him. -POTUS still sticking to top-down approach despite lack of real progress at working level Question is —how does this meeting incentivize Kim to denuke
Exactly this: it convinces Kim that nukes have given him all the leverage in the world. They quite literally brought the President of the United States to his doorstep. He’s not giving them up. And you can be sure Iran definitely notices

Sad state of affairs when a cartoonist gets fired for some pretty much on-point satire. It should come as no surprise that Trump is blaming the Democrats for tragedies such as this.
