What stupid shit has Trump done today?

It's not racist to look at economic statistics by race you idiot.

It isn't but, if you read the post, there should be no need to do so as everyone should be treated equally.
Trump is creating wider divisions when people really should be coming together for the common good.
If you create a new section of a population by importing slaves, refuse to treat them as humans for the next few hundred years, then refuse education on a par with everyone else and dump them in places no one else wants to live, of course you're going to have specific issues with the downtrodden group.

There isn't a black unemployment issue, there's a group of people who have been treated badly for centuries issue.
Resolve that historical and present day idiocy and the black unemployment problem goes away.

Hopefully Don Troooomp is 14 years old or something.

No, a little older AND my reading comprehension skills are really quite good. I didn't say it was racist to count unemployment by group, just there should be no need to do so.
Sad as it is, Trump and his daft pals are making a bad situation for worse by creating more division, hate and mistrust.

It's not racist to look at economic statistics by race - but with somebody like Donald Trump, who has very clearly been racist against black people his entire life, from a 1972 lawsuit when he was investigated for refusing to rent Trump properties to black people, to last week or whenever when he said America should invite more immigrants from Norway instead of "shithole" countries in Africa, it does leave a sour taste when he starts going on about how black people have never had it so good.

That's one of the reasons Trump is bad news, not the only one but it's a excellent reason for wanting him impeached as quickly as possible.

It's classic Trumpery: Black people are trapped in poverty because of systemic discrimination going back to when their ancestors were brought to America as slaves: Fake news!

The black unemployment rate has gone down along with a general fall in the unemployment rate, but is still higher than the unemployment rate for other races: Trump is a genius and black people are ungrateful.

It wasn't particularly that bit that caused me to hope your well-meaning simpleness was maybe not a permanent state of affairs.

Perhaps you could explain why wanting all people to be treated fairly and equally is simple minded.
I fully realise it's a beautiful but impossible dream at this point in time, but the reason I gave for the existence of a black unemployment figure is just as accurate regardless of my dream, or maybe MLK's dream.

He had a dream, and it was a very nice dream - or was that well-meaning simpleness as well?

As a note, MLK's crowd seems to be bigger than Trump's :D

 I shouldn't have spoken because honestly do not want to get into the subject at all but Don, the bit i particularly noted of your recent posts was "i don't have a problem with Jews even the Israeli ones but..'
In what other context can you imagine feeling the need to say this before making the routine criticisms of 'mass murder' against a government / military?

Just because the Israel government has a lot of nasty people in it doesn't means all Jews are bad, just as all Americans aren't bad because Trump is a bastard and all Brits aren't bad because Blair and Thatcher were twats.
No one can blame the whole for the actions of a few, but Trump manages.

Okay, I admit it, I'm a simple minded fool for wanting the impossible but, if I may, I'll remain a simple minded fool rather than become a bastard like Trump or a pessimistic twat with no vision or hope.

Forgive me if you can, attack me if you can't, but I'm sticking to love over hate. :)

I hate this 'black unemployment' stuff along with all the other race based stuff.
Don't know about you guys but I don't give a shit what colour someone's skin is, everyone is the same and we should all treat each other as people, not black people, white people or anything else.
I liked it when Obama (the half white guy) got the job but Trump is doing everything he can to create division and hate.
Screw Trump, make sure all kids get the best education possible and make sure everyone has the same chance to have a good life regardless of skin colour, if they happen to be gay, or whatever else people use asstupid excuses to hate other people.

Nuclear missiles - Fuck Trumps new nukes and spend the cash on education.

Education for all is the key to a good life and social well being for the vast majority and even a moron like trump should be able to work that simple thing out but I suspect he's pocketing some cash somewhere so it's a 'screw the reality' job in favour of what he can make.
If he really wants to make America great again, make the people great and the country will follow.
Not an easy job as you'd have to reverse years of hate and bigotry but it can be done if the right leaders are in place.
Problem with Trump is he's flaming the old hatred and making things a lot worse. Wonder how long it will take for America to recover from him.
Can't agree with you that race doesn't matter, or is a side-issue. White folk both on the far right and far left in American politics also say it's a secondary issue, if it's an issue at all. However, the US was founded on genocide of the native population and importation and enslavement of a group of people of a specific race, without whom the economy would never have succeeded. It gave birth to a different kind of institutional racism than you have in the UK and other European nations - not better or worse, but perhaps more pervasive as it was woven into the fabric of the nation. The legacy is very much alive today. Don't want to detract from the thread too much, but I encourage you to watch Ava DuVernay's 13th. Meticulously researched, it weaves together the threads of slavery, reconstruction, convict labour, Jim Crow, lynching right up to the drug wars and prison industrial complex.

Even when I was in school, during that brief period of quite liberal "experimental" education (we learned metrics even!), the genocide of native Americans and enslavement of African Americans were completely whitewashed. Racism and anti-semitism towards other immigrants didn't even get a foot note.

Come on, the only difference is that the Russia stuff is being pushed by the likes of MSNBC in the exact same way that Glenn Beck pushed racist conspiracy theories about Obama on Fox. It's all top down nativist hysteria, and it isn't even working.
I wouldn't compare the two. We'll hopefully soon know weather the Russia stuff is conspiracy theory or a very real problem when Mueller completes his work.....unless Trump finds a way to fire him. Trump and co are obviously trying very hard to hinder the investigation which makes me think there is something real there.

Is there some kind of law that Americans aren't allowed comment on their country if they are expats?

I'd still go visit there, if I were you. Fascinating country and wonderful, friendly people.
It seems only on Urban and only for Americans, particularly who grew up in working class communities, who don't believe lifelong white blue collar Republicans are on the cusp of joining a Socialist Revolution.

On Urban, the only people really qualified to talk about America are British folks with better academic qualifications than mine, who've talked to some American socialists online so really know the score, maybe had a drink with a couple in a New York on their last weekend break. Perhaps they've never actually been to the US, let alone spent time in a working class, rural community. But their ideology is so perfectly pure, and that's all that's important, dontcha know! ;)

Edit: Some of the people are wonderful and friendly. Some are absolute assholes. Sadly, my family live surrounded by the latter. :(

"And these countries are not our friends," Mr. Trump said, referencing countries through which drugs come to the United States. "You know, we think they're our friends and we send them massive aid. And I won't mention names right now, but I look at these countries, I look at the numbers we send them -- we send them massive aid and they're pouring drugs into our country and they're laughing at us. So I'm not a believer in that. I want to stop the aid. I want to stop the aid. If they can't stop drugs from coming in -- because they could stop them a lot easier than us. They say, "Oh, we can't control it." Oh great, we're supposed to control it."

"So we give them billions and billions of dollars and they don't do what they're supposed to be doing. And they know that. But we're going to take a very harsh action," he added.

Trump, at CBP facility in Virginia, considers cutting aid to countries letting drugs into U.S.

Ever spent time in a working class Russian community?

I'm from a working class mixed-race family (I'm white) and I lived in the US as a child. I have a bachelors degree but I can't afford a city break in Birmingham let alone New York. Stop lying about people and address your own prejudices.

Trump is clearly guilty of employing sketchy idiots like Manafort - and of dropping Don Jr. on his head too many times as a child - but I don't know if they're going to uncover too much Russia stuff beyond that, it sounds like Mueller's real target now is an obstruction of justice case, and Trump looks extremely guilty of that.

I guess a parallel might be if a special counsel had been appointed to investigate Obama's alleged Kenyan connections, and Obama had responded by turning into Richard Nixon.

For your information, I don't even have any GCSEs. Who the hell said that academic qualifications mattered? Only you.
