It's not racist to look at economic statistics by race you idiot.

It's not racist to look at economic statistics by race - but with somebody like Donald Trump, who has very clearly been racist against black people his entire life, from a 1972 lawsuit when he was investigated for refusing to rent Trump properties to black people, to last week or whenever when he said America should invite more immigrants from Norway instead of "shithole" countries in Africa, it does leave a sour taste when he starts going on about how black people have never had it so good.
Absolutely. I was responding to what the poster actually said though.
Indeed.Hopefully Don Troooomp is 14 years old or something.
Indeed.
There isn't a black unemployment issue, there's a group of people who have been treated badly for centuries issue.
Resolve that historical and present day idiocy and the black unemployment problem goes away.
It wasn't particularly that bit that caused me to hope your well-meaning simpleness was maybe not a permanent state of affairs. No, a little older AND my reading comprehension skills are really quite good. I didn't say it was racist to count unemployment by group, just there should be no need to do so.
Sad as it is, Trump and his daft pals are making a bad situation for worse by creating more division, hate and mistrust.
Trump Celebrates Rasmussen Poll That Reports a 49 Percent Approval Rating

I shouldn't have spoken because honestly do not want to get into the subject at all but Don, the bit i particularly noted of your recent posts was "i don't have a problem with Jews even the Israeli ones but..'
In what other context can you imagine feeling the need to say this before making the routine criticisms of 'mass murder' against a government / military?
Can't agree with you that race doesn't matter, or is a side-issue. White folk both on the far right and far left in American politics also say it's a secondary issue, if it's an issue at all. However, the US was founded on genocide of the native population and importation and enslavement of a group of people of a specific race, without whom the economy would never have succeeded. It gave birth to a different kind of institutional racism than you have in the UK and other European nations - not better or worse, but perhaps more pervasive as it was woven into the fabric of the nation. The legacy is very much alive today. Don't want to detract from the thread too much, but I encourage you to watch Ava DuVernay's 13th. Meticulously researched, it weaves together the threads of slavery, reconstruction, convict labour, Jim Crow, lynching right up to the drug wars and prison industrial complex.I hate this 'black unemployment' stuff along with all the other race based stuff.
Don't know about you guys but I don't give a shit what colour someone's skin is, everyone is the same and we should all treat each other as people, not black people, white people or anything else.
I liked it when Obama (the half white guy) got the job but Trump is doing everything he can to create division and hate.
Screw Trump, make sure all kids get the best education possible and make sure everyone has the same chance to have a good life regardless of skin colour, if they happen to be gay, or whatever else people use asstupid excuses to hate other people.
Nuclear missiles - Fuck Trumps new nukes and spend the cash on education.
Education for all is the key to a good life and social well being for the vast majority and even a moron like trump should be able to work that simple thing out but I suspect he's pocketing some cash somewhere so it's a 'screw the reality' job in favour of what he can make.
If he really wants to make America great again, make the people great and the country will follow.
Not an easy job as you'd have to reverse years of hate and bigotry but it can be done if the right leaders are in place.
Problem with Trump is he's flaming the old hatred and making things a lot worse. Wonder how long it will take for America to recover from him.
I wouldn't compare the two. We'll hopefully soon know weather the Russia stuff is conspiracy theory or a very real problem when Mueller completes his work.....unless Trump finds a way to fire him. Trump and co are obviously trying very hard to hinder the investigation which makes me think there is something real there.Come on, the only difference is that the Russia stuff is being pushed by the likes of MSNBC in the exact same way that Glenn Beck pushed racist conspiracy theories about Obama on Fox. It's all top down nativist hysteria, and it isn't even working.
It seems only on Urban and only for Americans, particularly who grew up in working class communities, who don't believe lifelong white blue collar Republicans are on the cusp of joining a Socialist Revolution. Is there some kind of law that Americans aren't allowed comment on their country if they are expats?
I'd still go visit there, if I were you. Fascinating country and wonderful, friendly people.
"And these countries are not our friends," Mr. Trump said, referencing countries through which drugs come to the United States. "You know, we think they're our friends and we send them massive aid. And I won't mention names right now, but I look at these countries, I look at the numbers we send them -- we send them massive aid and they're pouring drugs into our country and they're laughing at us. So I'm not a believer in that. I want to stop the aid. I want to stop the aid. If they can't stop drugs from coming in -- because they could stop them a lot easier than us. They say, "Oh, we can't control it." Oh great, we're supposed to control it."
"So we give them billions and billions of dollars and they don't do what they're supposed to be doing. And they know that. But we're going to take a very harsh action," he added.
This dude was genuinely running to be the Republican candidate for the Michigan State Senate, until he dropped out a couple days ago, due to "pressure" from social media. He probably still has no idea why.

On Urban, the only people really qualified to talk about America are British folks with better academic qualifications than mine, who've talked to some American socialists online so really know the score, maybe had a drink with a couple in a New York on their last weekend break. Perhaps they've never actually been to the US, let alone spent time in a working class, rural community. But their ideology is so perfectly pure, and that's all that's important, dontcha know!
Edit: Some of the people are wonderful and friendly. Some are absolute assholes. Sadly, my family live surrounded by the latter.
Don't you be using facts. Anyone can prove anything with facts.Ever spent time in a working class Russian community?
My only experience is rural eastern californina. No not socialists. It seems only on Urban and only for Americans, particularly who grew up in working class communities, who don't believe lifelong white blue collar Republicans are on the cusp of joining a Socialist Revolution.

I'm from a working class mixed-race family (I'm white) and I lived in the US as a child. I have a bachelors degree but I can't afford a city break in Birmingham let alone New York.
