But his recent attacks on the JD, the FBI etc, supported by the more 'alt right' membership of the GOP suggests that the US could be heading in a direction that nobody, even a year ago would have seriously contemplated.

I hope you are right coley, about him being gone within a year. Some days I am hopeful. Other days, I think so much damage is done and so many demons out of the closet now. The best chance of shifting the rot is the mid term elections in November, so long as voter suppression and tampering don't dominate. But, I'm not confident that the elections will even happen. Wouldn't take much for Trump to declare martial law for some spurious reason, and it's not like the GOP dominated congress or anyone in his administration is going to stop that.

My comment was in support of the legislators boycotting the event as well as those using the opportunity to make a statement.

What do you think of the legislators who brought people who have residency due to DACA, whom the GOP are using as human pawns to try and force Democrats to vote for their shitty bills, including paying for the wall with Mexico?
