Looking at the line of succession, I've realised that it's possible that we could end up with out first female President. Here is my thinking:

If this drags on past the midterm elections in Nov. 2018. And, if the Democrats take back the House. That would make Nancy Pelosi the speaker of the House. The speak of the House is third in line. If both Trump and Pence were impeached and removed at the same time, that would make her President.

It would be unlikely, but it's within what's possible. Wouldn't the Republicans just shit bricks?

I read an interesting Twitter thread today saying that actually nothing the guys have been indited for today actually leads to Trump, but the way everything's done suggests they are going to grab fairly senior guys for things they have rock solid evidence for, in the hope that getting them to sweat will get them to reveal more about what else has gone on behind the scene.
