What stupid shit has Trump done today?

I notice Trump and his supporters are very keen on tweeting about how Obama/Clintons are 'SO CORRUPT' and 'MOST CORRUPT GOVERNMENT EVER' and 'SO MUCH EVIDENCE IS COMING OUT'. Has there been any indication on what this corruption is connected with and what this evidence might be? Not that there was never any corruption under Democrats, sure there was plenty, but all this crowing about it without any details whatsover (bribery? dodgy international dealings? arms deals? what?) makes it sound doubtful that they have any real evidence of anything.

I suspect if Trump was filmed accepting millions from an oil boss to stymie renewables development (not that they'd need to do that) his followers would turn a blind eye.

risk of those on list escaping apparently - who could that be do ya reckon?
I recon that those that did escape would increase their risk of death dramatically, especially considering how many associated with the whole Russia/Trump/GOP thing have died in the last 18 months. I also suspect that they know this.

Correct. He donated millions of dollars to the Democratic party.

This attempt to politicise rapey men is shit (because the problem is with rapey powerful men, irrespective of their political stance, and there's these sort of shits on both sides of the US political fence). What's your point? Distraction? Getting the discussion away from the imminent arrest of key members of Team Trump?

Distraction, definitely. Also notice the complete lack of any meaningful response to pertinent questions across various threads. One trick pony innit.

This is breaking up my bank holiday weekend, nothing to do but refreshing twitter to see who's getting the indictment,

crosses his fingers "Please be Jared".

In his hurry to troll; Larry had forgotten to have a ready response to his edgy views

The Democrats are as left wing as the Republicans.

UK socialists may well think that the Democrats are not left wing. They may also wonder why, with two allegedly right wing parties, the US is an economic powerhouse whilst the economy of their extreme left wing opponents during the Cold War lagged way behind and is, at last, turning towards capitalism to effect increased economic growth.

But I don't think they'll spend too much time "wondering" but will soon go back to their fallback position......spending endless hours crying on each others shoulders about why someone else hasn't done enough for them and trying to justify why they should be enriched at the expense of others.

That's nice.

How about Trump; ready to comment on that, yet?

Paul Manafort, the man who got Pence in there... and has known Trump for a long time... and who is also linked to the Mercers :D

Congratulations to everyone who had Paul Manafort, in the "Urban Trump Indictment Sweet Stakes", those of you disappointed should remember that Manafort was in the "Russian Adoption Meeting" so when he folds (and watch this)

He will fold completely and will have dirt on lots more of the campaign. Any man so cool and collected on TV, is going to comport himself well in an F.B.I. interrogation.

I hope he packed a change of pants.

He's key I think. Links in Pence, and the Mercers to this. Also I'd imagine that there's enough financial shadyness to mean that at least some of the charges are going to be brought by NYC state prosecution, which means that Trump can't pardon. I suspect they're hoping he's going to flip on Trump.

Is Moore out of favour these days? Still reckon Bowling for Columbine was a powerful documentary.
He's a bit hit and miss, and many haven't forgotten his backing for Ralph Nader in the 2000 elections, which brought us GWB, but on some stuff, he's okay. His docs are usually spot on.

I think Trump's fairly f*cked. I think it's likely that more than one indictment is going to be served. I think it's likely to include money laundering from New York State prosecutors (because that means that Trump can't pardon). I think it's likely to include one or more of the following: Kushner, Manafort, Flynn, and Stone. If they arrest Manafort then that's interesting, because of Manafort being campaign chief for 6 months, and basically manoeuvring Pence into VP position.

I'm not sure that Trump can get away with firing Mueller. But I think there's a good chance it's going to get very messy.

I think also that it probably needs it's own thread.

Anyone want to start a "Watching Trump's downfall" thread? I would, but I suspect quite a few folk have me on mute, so wouldn't get to see it.

He's been under some form of investigation or another for nigh on a decade.

He'll sing like a canary for a softer deal, which is probably why he was first up to bat! :)

It's Clinton! It's all down to Clinton!

Trump rages at Clinton and Russia inquiry

Fox news still struggling with the news. Just put this on website 45 minutes ago.

Michael Goodwin: Robert Mueller should resign

And screenshot from TV coverage at the same time . . .

Looks like Trump likes the Fox coverage though!

Be interesting to see how Trump plays this - carry on with the "It's a witch hunt - SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!" line, or throw him under a bus, pretending he has no connection with Manafort.
