What are you baking?

Yeah, but, I've seen her saying things like 'add a tablespoon' and then just pouring an unknown quantity straight from her Kilner jar  She obviously doesn't make anything any more but just chucks a whole load of shit in the oven and then goes into the garden to pick her nose while some grunts do it for her, laboriously, with scales and spoons.

:D

She's really annoying but I love her recipes. Though they are written in a really annoying way.

Her chocolate Guinness cake comes out perfect every time.
And I actually don't find her annoying at all but I think I am mostly alone in that  :D

This little blue and silver cones you measure out dry goods with. Has American and Imperial cups in it as well as grammes in various densities, so you don't need scales to weigh flour and sugar and that.

oh right.
My dad has some.
I didn't know that's what they were called.

Piling every quantity of every ingredient into carefully chosen containers.
I totally rate her recipes, too - you'd just be fucked if you were trying to follow them from her programmes (as opposed to Delia's boring, methodical 'what you want to do is add 228 grams of flour and carefully mix it in with a wooden spoon' instructions for knobheads).

I like her, she cracks me up. 'I'm going to make something. I'll just open this packet here, and this packet here and voila!'

She has an easy gig but knows it, she doesn't come across as a twat about it.

I tried again with the correct amount of honey, but only had about half the peanut butter, so I added some oatmeal to make up the weight and give it some body. The mixture was still nowhere near like cookie dough, so I added some custard powder.
Still no joy, so i doubled the bicarbonate of soda and poured it into to cake tin and managed to end up with some sort of brownies:

Has anyone got a failsafe roll out biscuit recipe?

I've done lots of baking with the girl, but mostly cakes, muffins, flapjacks... I'd like to do rolling and cutting out :)

Baked egg custard tarts. Had 30 eggs left over from the Easter festivities on the estate, so thought I'd put them to good use. Haven't tasted one yet, and am a bit wary, as I made the pastry myself, and my short-crust is generally only edible 50% of the time.
