I don't really have time for biscuits that can't be dunked in tea or don't lend themselves to it.
The only exceptions are dark chocolate covered ginger Border biscuits

I know it comes from Scotland, but I’ve always imagined it was like those surprisingly common pig farms in Israel .

The Scottish grow the fruit but it’s not allowed to touch the ground and is shipped out to England in lead lined crates under armed guard by deep fried Tunnocks eating security guards or similar?
 
I had a summer job near the Newlands Bakery main building and would pop in to get me their Empire Biscuits. Crumbly, slightly chewy biscuit. Icing. Jam. Glacé cherry. What's not to love? Cup of Earl Grey and you have a lunch fit for a king.

They have something similar here called Alexandri kook. Not bad but the biscuit bit isn't as good.
