its all in the ears of the listener of course, but from a technical production point of view at the very least Actress is jaw-droppingly good. Some serious production techniques going on there.

It's excellent (#6 in my list) but Black is Beautiful has better track titles

Quite possibly the worst thing I've EVER heard in my life, just awful.

Is the suggestion of them for album of the year some sort of sick practical joke ?

Sounds like me and the swans album then.

I'd never heard of sleigh bells before, liked that slightly industrial sound with female vocals though...... No where near as good as the snake river conspriacy album which is yonkers old for that industrial girly sound though.

The Swans album is just prog dressed up as gothic americana. It's not awful but it's not that good either.

Angel Olsen - Half Way Home; very good but probably just missing out of my top 20.
