The Tim Reaper & Kloke album seems to be popping up on lots of end-of-year lists, and it's good, plus it gives writers something to write about - two big (within the scene) names collaborating, Hyperdub's first jungle album, etc. But The Cosmic Connection hits my Bukem-ish sweet spot and I've gone back to it far more, cos it's just excellent :)

Ive not heard of Kloke before... I'll check that Tim Reaper colab but I am now very allergic to amens and I bet its got amens in it
not even ONE amen track on the Kloke album! Love that!

Yeah i made that 6 out of 8 tracks have amens on them...im with you, its okay but im not interested, Kloke album is more my level

Kloke put out three albums in 24! The two weve mentioned and also this
ive not played it yet, but looks like a good rabbit hole.

(ETA: checked three tracks and three amens meh)

I didn't realise that Kiasmos and Jon Hopkins have both released albums this year; both favourites of mine and both of whom would have featured in my list had I not been such a dummkopf.
