E2A: hopefully he’s also dispelling a few stereotypes about Autistic people. He might say things without window dressing but he’s easily one of the most empathic people on the show, and one of the self reflective.

I read the Tattle thread and was interested to see other autistic posters saying they liked Dan. I know he's a bit abrasive but I don't think he's using his autism as an excuse to be a dick, more like he's explaining why he acts the way he does.

I’m not Autistic (although admittedly another flavour of neurodivergent) and I really like Dan, and that’s despite strongly disliking his stance about only thinking of himself during the boating mission. Which is always a sign that you’ve warmed to someone on this programme; when you can see them as a well rounded person who you can agree and disagree with. If you haven’t it’s so easy to go down “they’re such a nob!” route! Which is the viewers version of “they’re a Traitor!” I guess.
