Traitors '25 Starts 1/1/25 8pm

Linda saying ' you don't have to be a sailor to know you have to tie a rope' had me laughing my head off. :D

Yeah, I don’t think she’s playing badly at all. Winding up the vicar about Anna’s treacherous landlubberhood gives her a theme to keep plausibly returning to at round tables, and she deflected the initial suspicion from her telltale head turn quite successfully. It obviously helped that her accuser simply forgot about his suspicions, or was convinced to drop them by a researcher.

The missions are boring. They need more peril or pain or humiliation. It’s as if they were invented in a much earlier age of reality TV.

Actually the whole concept of reflexivity is disappearing from modern English. Distinctions between lie and lay, or sank and sunk, have become meaningless to the majority of speakers.

I met a producer of CDWM and had a good chat about the show, and it's thoroughly contrived. You expect there to be some license taken but this was completely unexpected. It's pretty much scripted, with contestants told what to say, countless re-shoots, and filming often done out of order, which confuses people and takes many hours. If the contestants don't vote the way the production people want, they're told to do it again. Mrs Spy was a big fan but I don't think she's watched it since.
Yeah that was her experience too. Menus changed, scores changed, producers stirring tension.

TBH I thought it was a crazy thing for her to do anyway for lots of reasons but it was even worse than expected. She doesn’t ever watch her episode, partly because she did the couples one and the gradual disintegration of her relationship was pretty clear to see.

By far the worst traitor in the history of the show (even more so than the Welsh guy last year), partly because of her lack of independent thought but also for the ridiculous over-acting she constantly does. However, this is also why I want her to stay because it's comedy gold.
See, I actually liked Andrew because of how under-the-radar he was (although the fact he sounded like a male Cerys Matthews helped). Ash was the one I thought sucked.

I like Fozia. And Freddie is absolutely bang on about a clique. Livi is so fucking annoying. No, you're not literally quiet, because if you were, you wouldn't be talking, fuckwit.
I don’t think he knows “clique” has negative connotations though.

So has Charlotte completely dropped the Welsh accent now? :D

I'm on catch up but couldn’t help myself looking at this thread.
