Traitors '25 Starts 1/1/25 8pm

Yeah, they'll film the celebrity version around the same time as Series 4. I mean, it's inevitable in the life cycle of reality TV. The US version is celeb only and seems to have a certain charm.

I think with the Seer they just wanted to do something that possibly tipped it in the faithfuls favour, given that majority of time traitors win anyway and it was already stacked against them with not revealing at the end if you're traitor / faithful (I thought that was worse than the seer bit)

The seer thing was billed as a potential game changer but it isn’t. It sounds like it should be, but actually it’s of little practical value to any of the players and in this case it probably put Frankie out of the game. If they decide to keep it, I’d expect future contestants to try to avoid “winning” it.

I agree that not revealing the last the status of the last banished contestant is unfair. They’d probably have ended the game sooner if they’d known Charlotte was a Traitor.

Apparently over half a quarter of a million people applied for Traitors series 3. It explains why there were pointless lies, although I’d also love to know their selection process based on some of the people who made it on.
(Wah wah wah)

I caught up late as friend's birthday last night. Great series, not delighted by the overall winners but isn't that often the case with this game?
Oh, Jake deserved it. And I warmed to Leanne during the after show. Also heard a bit about her life from daughter two, and I think she deserves a break in life.

It was a shame that Alexander and Frankie lost out to paranoia. They’re both likeable, but I don’t think either of them is short of a Bob or two. (I’ve been in a house Frankie used to live in: Lamb House in Rye).

So I’m quite happy with the outcome as it goes.

I liked Jake by the end of it. And (not that it makes any difference to whether you'll win or not) he was actually quite good at finding Traitors. So I'm pleased he won half of it.

Agree with smmudge about the Seer thing - it was probably to redress the balance a bit in favour of the Faithful but, yeah, it didn't really work. Charlotte had played a blinder up to that point and I was really enjoying watching her pull the strings.

I wonder how much of Harry's moustache-twirling ending in the last series had an effect this time round? The Faithful were very paranoid of there being a Traitor right to the end this time.

Anyhow, a really good series this time around. Will be watching Alan / the US one when it's on.

Jeez! No wonder you have to put on accents and pretend to be a nail technician!
Sorry, on reading that through again I have to fact check myself - it’s over a quarter of a million - which I meant to write in the first place but somehow didn’t. I saw over 300,000 quoted somewhere else, so between a quarter and a third if that’s right. Still a shit ton.

You're right. I posted above right at the moment Frankie was banished and I was cross at the unfairness. The two who could benefit from the money most winning is a happy result.

I have enjoyed this series but there was a lot of crap in it. None of the contestants were particularly likeable, the missions were awful and we needed a decent twist in there. The fact that one of them was a soldier but didn't tell anyone was just meh considering last year's twist was that there was a mother/son pairing in the house.

Also, I hate the way they drew out the final so much. Just get on with it. We were watching on catch-up and I was begging the kids to let me fast forward through all the guff.

Onto the US one though!

Just finished it.

Charlotte got completely done over. Being forced to pick another traitor fucked her up. She was only ever going to pick somebody to frame and their only response is to try to frame her. Freddie voting for her was inevitable and gave everybody the clue needed to identify her.

The seer in the game is great, they know stuff but can't let on cos they'll be instantly killed. Crowbarring it in at the end defeats all of that but it did make a load of drama, which I guess is what they wanted.

I've been binge watching season 2 as never caught it when it was on.

Although I know who wins and at least one person being in the final but it's still compelling, but seems a different beast, that lot were really brutal.
