Tory youth activists bully fellow Tory activist till he commits suicide

He was 21 years old. He might easily have changed.

senin 7 sülalenin götlerini sikerim, biraz utan Davut.

ı doubt you'd be saying that about western Kurdish shills then? You know, seen as they prop up western imperialism and that's worse than the imperialist regimes themselves, never mind that most of them are working-class people disenfranchised by the Turkish state.

And I don't even support the PKK, but don't dishonestly claim the moral high ground here, Dwyer.

when he was 21 dwyer was either at oxford or had just finished at oxford. his gendral outlook doesn't seem to have changed since then as the influrnce of some of his prestigious tutors can still be discerned.

Suicide is a horrible way to go, it's also one of the worst deaths for family members, with all the 'what ifs'. Then there's a group of people who are unambiguously the enemy, are killing working class people in a project designed to transform the country into something Thatcher could barely dream of. I fucking hate those people, even the ones just starting out. That I'm not that fussed about their death of a tory, effectively killed by another tory, doesn't undermine my basic humanity, my sympathy for suicide victims and families. It's a case where general positions and beliefs are not undermined by specific breaches. And I'd bet that that goes for a lot of people on this thread.

Ah the "he was a tory bastard who hated people so fuck him"

I'm not such which is more staggering, some people's lack of self awareness, or how much their cup of human kindness doth overflow.

yeah it does. You don't even know who or what his families are, yet your sympathy for the family is removed because he was a tory.

It's a dehumanisation of the 'other' - no doubt exactly what he did with his vile 'fatties' piece.

Oh, and he's not a dehumanised 'other'. My reduced/lack of sympathy is about him specifically and personally and the politics he was engaged in. That doesn't make me less sympathetic to other nameless victims of suicide, particularly those driven to it because of his party.

Seriously?

You may not agree with someone's politics, class, or whatever.

But to dismiss a young person's suicide like that is either borderline psychopathy or nailed on cuntishness.

I reckon you wouldn't say that in front of the dead kid's mother, so I rule out the psychopath option.
is that the standard, then? what you'd say in front of someone you're unlikely ever to meet? what about all the things on eg the pigfucker thread? should we use dc's mum as our sounding board? or the notional mum of mh thatcher?

I wouldn't wish death on someone just starting out on adult life, but I would question that young person's morality if (as this fella did) they gave time and space to the sort of hard-right shit Conservative Future call "politics". If they're even a tenth as malevolent as the members of their predecessor organisation (the Federation of Conservative Students) were (and they are), then he was on track to become another poor-hating, wealth-worshipping ball of racism on the "future councillors and MPs" production line.
So, I can understand asentiment that says "fuck him", even if I don't agree with it.
