What - the entire working class has moved to the right have they? Biggest anti war sentiment ever in this country has been demonstrated time and time again <with demo's that dwarf anything seen since the chartists>. National strikes over pensions in local government, national strikes in the civil service.

In my experience, I've not heard anyone from the working or middle classes express a particularly leftwing opinion on anything since the early 1990s. I have noticed an endless rightward lurch of opinion from both, however, since that time - which I beleive was what made Blairism possible, why there is STILL no fightback among the masses taking place and part of the reason we are heading in the rigthward political direction we are. The above mentioned (and overplayed, imo, in the instance of the strikes. Ask Keyboardjockey what HIS expereince of them was.) causes/demonstrations etc have not altered that in any way, shape or form.
