I'm not so sure it is. There is something not right with the club. Putting Gibbs in that position could either be a stellar decision or it could be another nail in the Ulster coffin. I suspect the IRFU will have to step in at some point and ask for Shane Logan to be removed. The best example of the dire nature of the province is that we've failed in the last few season to acquire good overseas players, I mean Rodney Ah You despite his Irish caps is not of any standard that's required of a club that has ambition. Or we've bought injured players like Marcel Cotzee (sp). For every Ruan, we've signed a Clive Ross. Apart from Stockdale and maybe Johnny McPhilips we've not produced an academy player of note. We're getting Leinster academy cast offs like Greg Jones, Alan O'Connor and Nick Timoney.
