Pro Cycling 2021

Valverde will be 41 this year and he came 3rd in yesterdays Volta Catalunya. Pretty remarkable. Maybe it was all those drugs he took early in his career?
He's over a year older than Roger Federer even. Should be another intense mountain battle today.

Bodes well for the veterans in the INEOS team.

RONDE :D
Whose going to win?
I hope (and mostly think) Ala though there could be a surprise Bettiol type figure whose been having a good cobble season but flying under the radar. With Roubaix cancelled it's going to be even more competitive.

Hard to call, there’s a lot of riders really in form right now. Gonna be a cracker

Completely legit:

"This is an opportunity to… give warning of targeted testing," he wrote.
Freeman said it would allow "early detection in fluctuations of the riders' ABP (athlete biological passport)" and give "time for riders to consider reasons as to why there are fluctuations and prepare a defence".

They've managed to run races in Belgium, Paris-Nice etc, it's disappointing.
France isn’t doing great at the moment and seems to be clamping down hard. Even Paris-Nice had to change the final 2 days route iirc Better to move it later in the year than have unnecessary risk...

What a beautiful document. Tom Steels was so calm in the car!
I really hope these rumours of a Specialized-brokered deal bringing Sagan to DQS are untrue. I fear he'd ruin that team spirit and anyway is he any better than guys like Senechal and Lampaert these days?

I don’t think Sagan brings anything but disruption to the Wolfpack but Specialized are such an important sponsor for DQS they will get their way.

Absolutely, Quickstep have better options for each of the Monuments and if they want to win the green jersey again in that long race around France they also have the better option there as well. I fear though that if that's what Specliaized want then that's what they get and Quickstep need the money as they have just given Remco a five year deal so will have to pay for a aa couple of mountain doms.
Also, apparently when Sagan signed for Bora he brought ELEVEN people with him.
