Saul, yesterday.
But that's not the point. This is a thread about milk alternatives, and where I live is totally irrelevant.
No it's fucking not and never has been. It is NOT ON to post up a poster's personal details without their permission regardless of whether it can be found on Google or not. That's the rules of these boards. It’s relevant in terms of discussing carbon impact.
provable lies. i think you've had a few. night night.I laugh at you because each and every post you make is either an attempt at putting someone else down or an attempt at... fuck it... you're not worth the effort.
before i get my hat handed to me again, soaking in soya milk.I'm off to bed, before something something

Don't think so, Saul whittles his own wellies.Saul, yesterday.
Nope. I started these boards so I'm pretty sure I know the posting rules better than you so I'm not going to repeat myself again.Yes it fucking is relevant. Demonstably so.
If you’d rather it not be said, that’s fine, but if we’re discussing carbon impact then it’s relevant. Things don’t magically become true or false based on your whim.
I really don’t get the prickly paranoia pervading these threads, it’s not like you’ve been fucking doxxed on this thread in front of a baying crowd of alt-rightists - we’re talking about *milk* ffs!
I appreciate that but there's damn good reasons why I don't want any person details being brought up here in any form, and it's simply not on to cite my personal circumstances when everyone else is sitting behind a nice anonymous login, particularly in a thread about dairy alternatives of all things.Little bit of perspective here, perhaps. I did bring it up. My bad. But I said two things - lives in a flat and in a city. Nothing more.

And can people fairly easily make a connection between your board name and your real name and address? I've had real life threats from running these boards and real life full on stalkers who endangered me and my girlfriend. That's why it's not on to leak personal details on unrelated threads, even if some people think there's no harm in it. I do hope that clears things up for you. And forgive me for not laughing at your flippant hilarity.I live in a little ex-mining cottage in the outskirts of a city in the East Midlands.
<checks to see whether the pitchfork-laden mob is encroaching yet>
I really don't see how ' you live in a flat in a city' is in any way leaking your personal details. I'm sure there are many millions who fit that description. And can people fairly easily make a connection between your board name and your real name and address? Oh just fuck off.I really don't see how ' you live in a flat in a city' is in any way leaking your personal details. I'm sure there are many millions who fit that description.

I've been discussing the principle that it is NOT OK to bring up any personal details that give away information that a poster has decided not to contribute to a thread. And then I tried to explain the reasoning behind it.You've gone full on Streisand Effect now!
I think everyone would assume that you lived in a flat in London, you don't live in a tent or a detached villa, quite where else you would live I'm not sure?!

It's been one of the worst threads on these boards for a long time.you've got to be silenced or ridiculed (or both), then they'll "win" and feel better about themselves
Who are 'they' and 'them'?you've got to be silenced or ridiculed (or both), then they'll "win" and feel better about themselves
So you really don't get it? OK. Goodbye.Yeah, and what you have volunteered yourself is very easily searchable on this site and includes what was said here (in your support, in terms of the discussion, ffs!), as well as a lot more.
That’s what happens when you interact with people in society using the internet as one of your conduits, and especially when you have your oen boards where you speak freely.
In a week’s time what LBJ said (which is pretty common knowledge anyway) will have made no difference at all to any risks you face, and I don’t think it presents any risk now, frankly. You are just getting weird and fractious and haughty like you do when any of your hobby horses is under discussion.
And yes, that factor is relevant if we are talking about carbon impact, and it’s of course right that you quote FAQ’s if something makes you uncomfortable, but those are two different things.
I think this really comes down to you not really feeling you’re among friends when disagreed with on certain subjects, but fine, let’s all stay within the selectively-applied FAQs.
Now, can we move on?
Who are 'they' and 'them'?
I really don't get it. I'm sure most people who post here are conscious of and are limiting their negative impact on the planet, so why does it feel like a competition to discover who is most holy?
In the last couple of years, I've, at least, halved my meat consumption. In the same time, I've massively reduced my carbon footprint, but because I still drink milk, I'm a planet destroying monster, who wants to savagely kill all of the animals on the planet. It’s a bloody hard thing to work out tbh.

The mind boggles!
FFS, grow a pair and learn to think for yourself
No, I was quite selective in my choice of words.but you don't know that at all. you can only make utterly erroneous assumptions. and it's prerogative.
