I did find it weird that none of the main media outlets seemed to have reported it for a solid 7-8 hours after the explosion.Saw this earlier and no thread!
Twitter is a cesspit (obviously) :/
One could speculate from this that the Taxi was hired to go to the Cathedral to do this, but that the Driver refused and ended up pulling in at the Hospital, in an argument, and refusal, and thus stopped a very serious incident.Speculation galore atm and whereas the Telegraph mentions the Women’s Hospital aplenty, it also says that the explosion happened at 10.59 am and the taxi was just a mile away from Liverpool Cathedral, which was rammed with people attending a Remembrance service about to start.
Reckon the cops do make rare exceptions in cases where taxis explode.
They will have questioned the survivors from the car and will know whats going on.
Possibly not white in the same way that the Guilford Four weren't white.
The driver will know something. This may all be the reason for lack of info in the media, as the Police dont know whats going on sufficiently to release it.As I understood it there was just one passenger in the car and he’s now dead after the driver locked him in and he detonated his device.
Yes, I know but they fitted a category and so were framed by the police. I was responding to this. The Guilford 4 weren't terrorists and didnt bomb anyone.
the terrorism bit basically means that are not white
Mirror said:When contacted by The Mirror, Merseyside Police referred enquiries to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Bloke dressed a pregnant woman.

All cabs and private hire cars have central locking/child locks don't they?Yes, it sounds as if the bloke might have decided to casually open his jacket to tuck in the the wires one last time, in full view of the cabbie.
As an aside thought, not that I ever expect to be in a situation where a taxi driver felt necessary to lock me in, but interesting to know they can do that.
I thought the referral to GMP was weird, too, but maybe there's a vacant post in Liverpool police press office, and/or maybe folk are off sick with Covid and/or on maternity leave. From the link in skyscraper101 's post, this is an interesting detail concerning the taxi and passenger :
But there's shedloads of other questions that are unanswered**, though ...
**(unsurprisingly at this stage!)
I think so: because they're publicly liable for things like passengers wanting to climb out mid journey and the such. I always assumed it was to stop fare dodgers but probably more health and safety. All cabs and private hire cars have central locking/child locks don't they?
I was more wondering (and still am!) whether or not any of the suspects were from Manchester rather than from Liverpool?I think so: because they're publicly liable for things like passengers wanting to climb out mid journey and the such.
