Laurence Fox. The twat.

When I went to vote yesterday, I noticed the entitled fool was on of the three ballot papers as an independent candidate.

Can’t remember if he was standing for Mayor, Assembly (London) or Assembly (Constituency) or whatever the fuck, it’s so confusing exercising one’s democratic rights in this great metropolis when it comes to local elections.
Pretty sure it was Constituency (London-wide you just vote for a party and they decide who gets their share of the seats)*, and what I found interesting was technically he wasn't listed as an independent, he wasn't listed as anything

Where everyone else had their party or, indeed, "Independent" in bold next to their name, he had... nothing.

All he had was his name, and I think we all know how much that's worth these days.

*<edit: nope, got that totally wrong! He was on the London-wide ballot. Still something odd going on with his listing, though :hmm:  Is it an admin error, possibly linked to his own mishandling of the paperwork?>

From the link: 'North Ockendon is north of South Ockendon.' Who knew?

Actually, I don't believe in either of them. They sound improbable, and nobody's likely to be bothered enough to check.
I used to regularly get a bus through both North and South Ockendon if the trains were down. North Ockendon is posher than South Ockendon but both very quiet. We also often go to Stubbers (kiddie outdoor fun centre) though that's just inside the M25.

You've been paid to say that. Don't worry, I won't tell.

I’ve been to Stubbers so I can vouch for that part of it.

eta. With my kid!

There's no such thing as PTSD?

Fuck Me, i'm cured!

I love how with each passing of an idea from one grifter down to the next it becomes progressively more unreasonable. We should consider how we treat people who've suffered from severe trauma becomes the condition these people are diagnosed with doesnt actually exist becomes I am an actors son and if I can deal with the trauma of a career as an actor then you people who've grown up poor and been blown up in Afghanistan can deal with it too unless you are all weak.

Have I missed something? Is cuntery included in the Olympics this year or summat?

If she was white it would be equally disgusting, Lozza. And way to say 'she asked for it'.

WHY does he have to keep digging himself further. Also, 'there's no such thing as PTSD'? Lozza, you know soldiers suffer from it, right? They've had far harder lives than you ever will.

I’m sure that several voters will have put their three voting slips in the wrong box as they weren’t marked clearly, it’s a good thing I wasn’t voting in the evening when I’m usually pissed, and even then in the cold light of morning I had to think about it carefully.

I had 3 different coloured ballot papers for council, mayor and pcc but they all went in the same box. (was voting in coventry).

I think if they are not standing for a registered party then they can choose to have "independent" or have no description at all.

Not sure why he hasn't got "reclaim party" above his name but maybe he has never actually registered that party name? :D

Edit - he has registered it but obviously forgot to put it on the form when standing :D

I take it the people rejected him again?

He was only standing on the all-London list and as far as I'm aware the results for that haven't been announced, though I think it's a foregone conclusion that he won't be having to make a long distance commute to City Hall to take up his seat as a member of the London Assembly anytime soon...

Clearly he thinks it a foregone conclusion himself if he's planning on emigrating to England! :D
