Keir Starmer's time is up

I, on the other hand, am continually nicely surprised by just how much common sense, solidarity, charity and generally anti establishment feeling is expressed by my fellow gammons. Not always on the surface, especially if you start talking party politics, but just underneath. When you get past the slogans. I remember watching a program years ago by some M.P. whose name I forget, entitled something like "The Secret Socialists of Guildford ". People in a shopping centre were asked a variety of questions, about environmental concerns, nationalisation of public utilities etc. The vast majority gave left wing or ecological answers, only to express consternation when told that they were supporting Labour policies. When people really tell you what they think, actually think, they are normally far more left wing than they themselves realise.
there's that famous lenin bit about the party being to the left of the central committee, and the people being to the left of the party

Those are interesting thoughts. I am not knowledgable in political systems to that degree, so I cannot possibly form an opinion on that. But it is an interesting concept.

What I see out there in the world is a mass of working class gammons. Of the working class people I have met, few are not.
yeh you're really not bolstering your case here

i have answered your question, i said very clearly that if the parliamentary labour party hadn't undermined him at every turn he would have won the 2017 election.
You are entitled to that opinion. Myself I would say he wouldnt have had a cat in hells chance.

For the record, Serene, I don't like Corbyn and I can't stand Labour but... if not for the constant attacks, bullying, assorted backstabbing and undermining of project Corbyn from majority right wing Labour MPs... add to that the endless list of attacks in the press plus the lack of any attempt at impartiality from the BBC, then I'm amazed the cunt got any votes. I think he did quite well considering.

As for your "the workers are all gammons" schtick, it's not a fact, it's all relative depending on where you work, where you live and whether there are any local considerations to take into account. See, where I live, I'd say... er... "gammons" are probably a minority. If I lived elsewhere, I might say different.

Your assessment is very poor.

I appreciate your post, it is interesting to know. What I see where I live is greed and arrogance. People are ruled by money. People are in debt up to their eyeballs through their greed and arrogance and they go out into the world being árseholes because of it. People need to live by their means. I am not referring to people right at the bottom, of course I am not.

arseholes are right at the bottom, by definition

What you see. Exactly. You're generalised conclusions based merely on what you see in your own neighborhood or job are worthless beyond telling us about your locality. Please don’t use that to tarnish the whole working class
I am not tarnishing the working class. I myself am working class, many generations. I would say my generalised observations, are generally true, where I live.

While there is greed for money on such a scale as there is I dont see a way to change the political parties as they are.

What's with this whole 'gammons' thing? It's a terrible, sneery (and classist) term. When did it become okay/normal to use it on here?
The word gammon, referring to a type of person, exists, would you like its existence to be swept under the carpet?

so your observations were facts, then they were true, now they are generally true, do you see the trajectory you're on here?

The people who I am saying about being árseholes because they are in debt, I mean the people whom arent satisfied with having a standard car, they want a brand new car, and then they want a deluxe brand new car, and then two cars appear etc. What you see then, is people driving to work tailgating others and being árseholes working all hours because of the debt they have accrued in their arrogance and greed.

Lots of offensive words exist. That doesn't mean it's okay to use them.
So they should be swept under the carpet then, according to you. If something exists and you dont like it, make a wish and it dissapears. The Tory party exists, shall we ignore it and never use the term?
