Some body part or something, with blood. I dunno really but I dunno what else it could be.

Sorry guys, not really something to be discussing about I reckon....

Hi all, is there anyone who can confirm that the tubes (central line in my case) are running again as the BBC travel site and the National Rail underground site are still listing "all stations closed and services suspended". Link to a decent transport site that actually gets updated would be useful.

Thanks to you all for keeping me updated throughout the day.

lunchtime i saw BBC TV film of a bloke being taken out of an ambulance on a stretcher at whitechapel hospital with docs pounding his heart to save his life. he was a young bloke. it really gutted me and i havent seen the footage since.

i just realized that the bus that exploded was heading to euston from holborn... probably a 59, which I take every morning to work... must've been the one I missed in Brixton earlier.

I still haven't heard from my girlfriend who works in Victoria station. She should finish at 3.30 though.

Update From Work

right so i've arrived at work (amb HQ for those who dont know)

the entire place is like a massive car park - st johns, us, other couties ambs all over the place. not to mention the police.

walking in was strange as there were people milling everywhere, not walking out of town but walking very determindly round in circles.

the ambulance station attached is full of paramedics debriefing each other and taking stock, all seem reasonably cheerful though.

the control room is heaving, those taking 999 calls today have found it stressful trying to tell people why they cant have an ambulance ("i just wanted to scream 'dont you know whats going on?! turn on your TV'" said my mate), but it seems that people are listening to the advise not to call unless its an emergency.

dispatch is full of stressed people but the whole place remains professional. we're due a briefing and then we start.

probably wont get back on tonight.

They said 7 on the bus on Sky. I'd be surprised if it's only 2, looking at the state of it.

Two confirmed he said, guessin' that it's going to go far higher before the day's done.

Me too. I think 2 is just the confirmed figure. I expect it'll escalate soon.
