July 2005 London bomb blasts: UPDATES AND NEWS ONLY - NO DISCUSSION

It's kinda weird sitting up North watching & listening to all this go off .... wish I could help . take care :(

Kyser works in Soho, which is away from the affected areas. No guarantees, but as he lives in South London I don't think he would have been on any of the routes.

If the mobile netwroks are down does that mean that texts can't get through either? (sorry to be so thick  )
I received a text from my bf about half an hour ago, but my reply hasn't gone - stuck in the outbox.

We can't get through to Shoreditch police station, all the lines are busy, still can't find out if they want him to go in or not. Does anyone know what the roads are like, we might have to get from Hainualt to at least Bethnal Green if I have to drive him in.

Forget it. This is a day like no other. Sit tight and listen for news.

I can't make calls but texts are going through ok with delays.

They say they're obviously blocked - but Euston Road was flowing again on the bbc-stream

doesn't your hubby have a separate line?

Is it standard police procedure to lie after a terrorist attack?

Army expert from Madrid attacks claims that devices may be not be defusable (sp?)

Was supposed to be going into Victoria to meet my friend who's on the coach from Bristol.. thankfully he just phoned to say coach blocked from getting in, so he's at the services somewhere on the M4.

Guess I'll be staying at home then, safest place.

Hope everyone is okay, and all that. It's all a bit scary, innit.

Fuck knows who has the resources to carry out an attack like this.

One thing for sure though - the full on Orwellian state is about to come down on us like a ton of bricks :(

My text got through to the person I was tring to contact, she's ok. :)

Just been informed at work that mobile phones have been restricted to essential users only - all external meetings cancelled.

Also been informed by Union rep that to go home early because of the disruption will be classed as a disiplinary offence - who's fucking side is he on.

Er, where did they do that?

My wife has made it to Old Street and is just walking North. She's got hold of an A-Z.

Now that she really is ok, I really hope for everyone else!

several explosions on the london underground and 3 bombs on 3 buses, all almost simultaneous. 90 people injured at just Aldgate station.

This is a terrorist attack, not a fucking power surge
