July 2005 London bomb blasts: UPDATES AND NEWS ONLY - NO DISCUSSION

All the phones are down, tried ringiong my wife in Liverpool St and landlines and mobile are down

For some reason my phone won't let me call stdPikachu, he works near Liverpool St.

Honey if you read this please call me and tell me you're ok :(

Has anyone noticed how calm the people around the areas are, just carrying on with the daily grind? Im unsure as whether thats because news hasn't filtered out through the area or it's just basic britishness kicking in.

Oh god. I am in an internet cafe on Tottenham Court Road, unable to get to work or get home. I'm sure I'm safe but feels horribly near to Euston / Tavistock / Russell Sq.

Take care. Probably best to sit tight. Then think about walking home. This is unreal. :(

Oh jesus christ this is awful. My best friend lives in London. But if mobile networks are down then I guess it may be a while till I hear from her...

..And I don't have her work number. Hoping she'll have got to where ahe was going by now tbh...

Feel for all you Londoners having to go thru all this shit.

I'm assumimg that about Stig.

She was supposed to be on the tube today, from Kennington to North Acton (Northern and Central).

I'm sure she's safe, but it'd be nice to be reassured.

The northern Line was closed when I tried to get on at 7.45 this morning mate

I'm immediately behind Liv Pool St station, we can phone out ok

I got off the train at St James Park this am when all the tubes stopped and walked up through the park and just behind the park by the Duke of Yorks column was an emergency red cross tent, loads of ambulances, police and mobile medical centres and this was around 9:30

Seems they lept into action long before releasing any details

It's only really starting to sink in.

The picture of that bus. Jesus.

Fingers crossed for you Londoners and your loved ones

I'm sitting in an office by Old Street tube and it's spookily quiet around here... :( Everyone's sitting tight in their offices as the radio's telling us not to venture out...

Hope all you are ok, please take care (silly thing to say, I know)

Feeling weirdly frustrated and upset at being out of London and 'safe' this week
