Jacob Rees-Mogg - Common People

Will his bill rolling back EU derived employment rights be curtailed though.
Pish and posh! It’s all 2400 EU derived laws, not just employment rights, and Rishi says they’re all to be reviewed within 100 days. So nowt could possibly go wrong there then

I so look forward to hearing much, much less about this entitled, inhuman sociopath.
Quite - never before was there so evidently a politician who outright believes (others at least pretend they don't) that there is a Class of Man (and it is a man) who is Born and Taught to Rule and knows better than the plebs and our unfortunate dark-skinned bretheren What is Good for Them.

anyone fancy giving Jarvis a call or dropping him an email.

Really should archive his hilarious 'clarification' this morning.

Jacob Rees-Mogg: Why I no longer believe Rishi Sunak is a socialist — Telegraph (archived)

Mr Rees-Mogg famously called Mr Sunak a “socialist” during this Summer’s Conservative Party leadership contest because he refused to commit to the same level of tax cuts as Ms Truss. But asked whether he stood by comments in advance of the reshuffle, he said: “That was said in the run up to the leadership campaign, under very different circumstances. The leader of the Conservative Party is clearly not a socialist.”

About the only thing in JRM's favour, is that he had enough self awareness not to try and run for party leader. Humiliation is never pleasant.

he walked around a Glasgow estate looking for people to vote for him with his nanny

think he might of learnt a thing or 2 over the years about humiliation thankfully

I had thought his handwriting would be superior to that, more your traditional copperplate.
So did I. It's very jerky looking. Requires real concentration to make it all out (and I still wasn't clear on parts of it), which is just fucking rude - he obviously feels entitled to more attention than he deserves, to the very last.

I was at a boarding school (as is known on these boards) I am left handed and did calligraphy lessons, badly, but even my scrawls were better than that.
Goes to show posh education means nothing if you are basically thick, (I'm no genius, as is also known on these boards) but certainly (IMO) cleverer than this cabinet.

Exactly my thoughts. Lacks finesse, as if he'd dashed it off without thought and/or effort.

Let's hope the people of Keynsham vote the fuckwit out at the next election
No fire or ambition at all. If we're aiming this low we're fucked. Voting caused all this ffs.

"I-I hope p-people v-vote the shit out of Mogg!" is so pathetic and stereotypically, boringly English.

We have the greatest opportunity in 30 years to truly take genuine politics into the workplaces and on to the streets as an autonomous class not looking for emancipation from above , but instead building emancipatory autonomous movements from below. FFS we must stop wasting our time on the parliamentary pantomime and get things underway.

I just think it's incredibly rude. Symbolic of how entitled he feels to others efforts.

My handwriting is really good - not a point in favour of me as a person, but just indicative of how much it was drummed into me that A) people needed to understand it clearly, and B) it spoke for you when you weren't physically there, so it was best that it said something decent. We used to have to use tracing paper to copy italics at school, pages of homework would be ripped out of the workbook and binned - and assigned as failed, if the handwriting wasn't up to standard on first sight.

It surprised me to see his handwriting on such an important letter, written partly for public consumption.
