I've made my views known on social media but that's about all I can do. I agree, they shouldn't feature in any international cricket.

Aus are now very close to the WTC final. Win the final game and they're definitely in. India are nearly out. Must win the final game and then hope for SL to beat Aus 1-0 or 2-0. SL can only qualify if the last test is a draw

India have to drop Rohit Sharma. He's averaging 6 in the three games he's played in and India won the one game he missed.

Contact the ICC. They're the ones who sanction their involvement.

Yeah. There is a huge silence over the issue. We have discussed it on here before. Afghanistan should be kicked out of all cricket until such a time as girls and women are allowed to play.

it was Bumrah in the first test. Two sides playing each other with fast bowlers as captains. Very rare.

Then again, I thought it was very weird that Israel was allowed to compete in the Olympics this year while Russia was banned. When arguably the genocide Israel is committing is arguably worse than Putin's insane war. I don't know what the threshold is to get banned from international sport.

This is a simple one, though. You don't even have to say 'Taliban Out' or adopt any wider political stance. Just a basic baseline for participation: boys and girls, men and women, should all be allowed to play the sport. If they're not, you don't get to send just your men.

Exactly. Afghanistan is clearly in breach of the ICC’s anti-discrimination policy.

What a fucking idiot. Please do keep us informed on how your campaign to stop Afghanistan competing in cricket is going on. I'd love to know what steps you've made besides writing some banal posts on a minor bulletin board and then legging it. It's been made clear that most if not all on here agree they shouldn't be allowed to compete.

....have you considered writing something about this issue? It's pretty disgraceful. Even the national team being pictured posing with members of the Taliban, one of whom is responsible for writing the laws of how women are treated in his country.

I gather Trott has never even set foot in Afghanistan, instead living in luxury in Dubai. Don't know how he sleeps.

It just looked like a mess tbh. Like most regulars on this thread, I think Afghanistan should be barred from the international game. It's not really contentious. Then Trashpony came on the thread to berate everyone for something they hadn't done, wasn't their fault and could do nothing about. Petcha responded more rudely than he ought to have... Sorry? I wasn't being aggressive at first - I explained what my views on the subject were and told her what I had done and made suggestions as to what she could do. All of those were ignored, instead met with repeated implications that I and everyone else on here are sexist.

I don't care what gender she is, that's irrelevant. Just don't be a dick. It's a subject that I do care about but I'm not going to have it implied that I'm a misogynist, by anybody, and that includes you.
