Ian Brady (the Moors murderer) is dead

Are you suggesting that the news of the world conducted a social enquiry to see if the public had an appetite to read about Brady's refusal of food and other shit times whilst incarcerated?
Or does it just form part of their editorial stance?

Like I said six of one and half a dozen of the other. The media feeds off the public and the public feeds off the media. Don't buy the newspapers, don't buy the books, don't have threads about it on social media, just don't partake in conversing about it. Period. Then it will disappear.

I agree with this to a certain extent as newspapers have advertising space to sell so need to comply with their readers desires.
But honestly, tens of times I've seen Hindley & Brady stories I don't recall it fulfilling some great yearning.
Anyway, this is a death thread. For a cunt. Let it rest in peace.

I think the death of a vicious murderer is a price worth paying if it prompts a frank discussion about the role of the media in forming popular narratives in society.

Winnie Johnson (mother of Kieth) had a grandson who for a short time became one of the most feared gangsters in North Manchester until he was assasinated by infamous crime lords the 'Noonan's'. 'White' Tony Johnson, so called because he was the head of a black gang.

Little Kieth, he was only 10 the poor lad. Poor Winnie Johnson too. Hard to think about really.
