Hot upcoming gigs

down to only 33% chance of rain!

Me too, tho mates have been and all said it is a great venue (if the waether's nice)
I saw The Streets at the Piece Hall on Thursday, great gig despite a bit of drizzle. It's a lovely venue and Halifax has some really good bars 🍻

Philadelphia grindmongers Bandit are touring at the moment, remaining dates are (silly format cos they're American):
9/2 Manchester The Peer Hat
9/3 Nottingham Billy Bootleggers
9/4 Glasgow Audio Lounge
9/5 Edinburgh Legends
9/6 Bristol Exchange Basement
9/7 Rugby West Indian Social Club

Heard that someone proposed marriage at the Leeds one, that's not something that happens with every grind gig you go to.

have been avoiding instagram, so have only just caught up on the day splits for the oh what fun festival. guess its taking over for static shock weekender as the new river studio punk festival. I was v excited to catch nekra tonight but family stuff came up and very gutted.

think there are about 16/17 bands on tomorrow at new river studio. should be suitably chaotic. and some grimy after shows which I will probably avoid.

Probably not going to Mogwai in Edinburgh in February as can't justify the ticket money just now and I've seen them eight (nine?) times anyway. They were absolutely great when I saw them in July this year.

Just booked in for a Halloween party that looks like this...

I don't even like Halloween, but that's some line-up if you like your Breaks

Great industrial/noise band Uniform and some UK hardcore band I don't think I know called Bad Breeding are doing a euro tour in October, UK dates are:
10/01 Manchester, UK @ The White Hotel
10/02 Newcastle, UK @ The Lubber Fiend
10/03 London, UK @ Rich Mix

Dates are the wrong way around cos they're American but you know what they mean.
If you have any interest in the bit of music where industrial/noise/hardcore cross into each other, I would very strongly recommend going to see Uniform and Bad Breeding while they're in Newcastle or London this week.

Phew, a gig in…Yorkshire. A little vague, but true, apparently.

Re Buckinghamshire, does anyone know where gigs happen in Aylesbury now that the Civic is demolished?

Not that I could or would make a pilgrimage to the horrible town where I grew up to see a band which seemed rather past it when I saw them at Brixton Academy all-nighters in the 90s, just a matter of mild interest.

Waterside Theatre, apparently

I've got tix for Colleen, Inter Arma and Porridge Radio and tomorrow I'll be getting tix for the mighty Part Chimp, playing in St. Leonards in early December.

Seems a bit thin - need more gigs!

Lemn Sissay, Subhumans, Jah Wobble, Lovely Eggs & Clock DVA this month.

Next month I am seeing a band of youngsters who’ve only just released their debut! Which I’ll balance out by buying Hawkwind tickets
