Mega-pumped to see Singapore grindcore legends Wormrot on Friday in Brighton....
Ah, I nearly saw them in Liverpool a few months back but only got there after their set had finished.
Just seen that Cro-Mags (or at least a specific line-up) are about to tour here:

And then Terrorizer (again, a certain specific line-up of) at the end of the month:

Think I'm maybe more bothered about Terrorizer out of those two, Cro-Mags feel like they'd get a very meathead crowd?

I don't know either of these bands but they're both playing Brighton so I'll have a listen....

my mate took me to see cromags...last year? year before? at the underworld.... was brilliant, possibly best "rock" gig ive ever been to.... Id say a must go...no doubt better live than on record

Mogwaifest (Big City) on Saturday with the kids. Really looking forward to it, although I wish they'd got their act together to tell us useful things like the running order, stage times and what you can and can't bring in with you a bit sooner than today. Disappointed that Sacred Paws are on at 2pm because I'd like to see them but 8 hours sitting in a field is a bit beyond me these days.

Jul 20 Cardiff, UK - The Moon w/Mt Misery
Jul 21 Oxford, UK - Tap Social w/Mt Misery
Jul 22 Leeds, UK - Royal Park Cellars w/Mt Misery
Jul 23 Sheffield, UK - The Delicious Clam w/Mt Misery
Jul 24 London, UK - The Lexington w/Birdie & Tony Molina
Jul 25 Manchester, UK - Gulliver’s w/Mt Misery

I'm going to a gig in October - I don't go often but this seemed too good to miss out on - Morton Valance, supporting The Long Ryders at some place I've not heard of , near Great Portland Street in London. £35 a ticket!

Kind of pissed off I missed Suede and the Manic Street Preachers at Ally Pally last week... I didn't know the gig was happening. I'm not a massive fan of either band - but the Manic's were superb when I saw them at Glastonbury 20 year's ago, and Suede are a band I'd be happy to see..

If anyone fancies putting Jeff Lewis up, he sez:
There’s currently 8 nights where I’m still seeking free housing situations for my band, so if you have room for the 4 of us to sleep at your place please let me know at <JeffLewisBand @ Gmail . com> ! It’s always a great money-saving (and more interesting) way to tour, and we 4 are fine with any combination of beds, couches, floor-mattress, whatever, but with one allergic band-member I’m trying to find housing spot with NO cats (if possible). And of course we’ll get our housing hosts free gig tickets. The 8 places we’re still seeking sleeping-spots are: Coventry, York, Stirling, Norwich, Carmarthen, Nottingham, Southampton, and Hastings.

Manu Chao playing Brixton Academy 22 September. Announced this week, onsale as of this morning.
Billed as 'Acoustic' - which I'm assuming isn't fully so, as playing unamplified in that space would be challenging.

I am v happy to have got a ticket to one of his solo london shows at (apparently) tiny west hampstead arts club... tho actually I really enjoyed last time I saw him at a bigger show with band. I've been on a bit of kick of only listening to him recently, he really has done some amazing songs... "krongu green slime" is one i particularly notices lately as genius

Saw PJ Harvey at Gunnesbury Park tonight... excellent gig, great sound... basically did most of the recent album and then some old bangers... great set really..

I was there too. It was superb. Big Thief were fucking brilliant too - and I also enjoyed Tirzah and the first support act too whose name escapes me.

I'm not so familiar with her new album - I've kind of lost touch a bit with Peej but my daughter is a big fan so I went along with her.

What a treat - I've never seen her before - such an amazing performer - her voice was just so good last night, and the band were tight as fuck with great sound as you say.

I'm off to see her tomorrow night in Halifax. It's been a while so I''m really looking forward to it.

btw, anyone fancy a ticket for HRH Punk? I got one cheap for when it was in Sheffield and I could nip in and out for the bands I gave a toss about, but can't be arsed to go to Leicester for a bunch of heritage acts

I can't be arsed with going to Leicester for that either, but having missed the UK Subs on what I thought was meant to be their final pre-retirement tour, I'm glad to see that rumours of their retirement seem to have been somewhat overstated.

It was their final tour. The Subs have now retired from touring - I don't think Charlie can take weeks on the road anymore!

As you've seen, they are still doing one off gigs/festivals though.
