You've got a clash on the 21st, or is the first one a matinee?
But I do have a clash in April next year:
Jim Bob doing 40 songs /40 years at the Shepherds Bush Empire, or Flaming Lips....

Oh, I know a bunch of people who went over for that last night. Hope you had a good time! Not a gig, but I'm going to House of God for the first time in over 20 years. I'm a bit nervous

They sound pretty good if you like that delicate slow sad sort of stuff:

Seein him on Tuesday! How was it?
I saw them at Manchester. I thought they really killed the new stuff and were on top form. But yeah if you wanted the old stuff you were't really in luck. Though they did a short set with some oldies like Bear before the main set at Manchester.I saw Tindersticks at the weekend and was really looking forward to it. I did book it at the start of the year when feeling particularly morose but I came away disappointed. They did very little of their early stuff which are the songs I love. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it though.
dice waiting list often works - i've been lucky with Osees at Shacklewell Arms and Richard Dawson at Moth Club.Gutted to miss out on tickets for Richard Dawson at the Ivy House. Got the presale tickets email and they sold out in about 20 mins, and then the actual tickets sold out in 5 mins. Hoping to get some on the resale.
Same with Alcest at Brixton Academy. Has anyone had much luck with the waitlist thing on Dice?
Fucking excellent. Career spanning set, the new stuff sounds even better than on the album, a great band who seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. No Stagger Lee, but you can’t have everything.Seein him on Tuesday! How was it?
I was surprised by how decent the place was. Yeah, it’s an arena, but as arenas go it was bloody good, compact, excellent sight lines all around and only £9 a beer!Saw Nick Cave last night at Leeds Arena. Bit soulless as a venue
only £9 a beer!
I am wildly exaggerating. It was £17.90 for two.You are kidding, yes?
I don’t go to so many gigs these days but I haven’t yet paid more than £7.50 a pint - and that’s in LondonI am wildly exaggerating. It was £17.90 for two.
I've probably said this before but I remember being horrified by being asked for 60p for a pint in the Marquee.I don’t go to so many gigs these days but I haven’t yet paid more than £7.50 a pint - and that’s in London
TBF it probably is ok as those type of places go but the last two times I saw the Bad Seeds was in great venues. The Perth Amphitheatre being particularly excellentI was surprised by how decent the place was. Yeah, it’s an arena, but as arenas go it was bloody good, compact, excellent sight lines all around and only £9 a beer!
Craven Faults in Salford tonight.
I unexpectedly have a spare pass at very short notice, and I hate to waste a pass.
Anyone in the Manchester area fancy coming along?
Pm me.
I’ll be driving but I’ll check as I move.
He rarely plays.
Anyone up for this?
