Have you had your [s]microchip[/s] vaccine yet?

GPs do get paid a packet. But they deserve it for doing such an important job.

And the additional payments to them for these vital vaccinations are nothing compared to the cost of the shitty track and trace system

This - that's about half the cost that was it was reported they were paying per day for PWC management consultants. A comparative bargain!

I have a underling condition of Immunosuppression (mine is neutropenia). This would out me in level six of the vaccine roll out, but I don't think I am. Am I supposed to contact my GP? or my blood doctor at the hospital? I assume they are all jolly busy at the moment and don't want to cause a fuss.
It's a condition that doesn't seem to set off alarms, as I usually have to tell my GP or other doctors when I am being treated for something else, (then they look it up and go "oh yes").

Did you recheck the 'underlying condition' list for vaccination priority, that the JCVI issued at the end of December??
(List is a fair bit far down that linked page).

Definitely worth (re?)-checking with your GP (or eleswhere), whether what you describe falls into this one one though :

Good luck :)

They haven't got to group 6 yet so maybe hang fire until they do? I'm also immunosuppressed and on and off have rubbish neutrophils and no-one's been in touch with me yet either. But assume they will be cos I'm on the flu jab list which presumably you are too?

Sue : your post 'liked' for being on the flu-jab list (not for the rubbish drugs! )

But being flu-jabbed annually as of right, definitely hs its advantages ...... I'm on it too.

Actually I'm not on the flu jab list. Though in the past the doctor has said I should go to A&E if I get the flu. Is it something I need to activate myself? Request?

 You surely should be getting the flu jab???? Telling you to go to A&E if you get flu but not making sure you get the jab seems like madness to me. So yeah, if I were you, I'd call and ask to speak to a GP and explain the situation. Good luck.

My neutrophil tests are always with a separate doctor at the hospital, and I always get the impression this never properly filters through to my local GP practice (who I know gets letters). I'm not sure who I am actually supposed to call. I can't get through to a GP by phoning.

Wish I could just email someone and let them deal with it when they have time.

Your GP should get clinic letters and you should get a copy. Can you email your GP? Make a phone appointment to discuss? Contact your hospital doctor? Or have you an assigned nurse specialist? They tend ime to be very good at sorting stuff out.

I do fall into that category yes. That is why I was asking.

Sure, I did understand that it was very likely that you'd be in JCVI's priority category 6, , but I don't know too much about immunosuppression, so I wanted to clarify that, as well as for the sake of encouraging you to be optimistic .......
My 'Good Luck' with you getting the jab ASAP wishes still stand, anyway! :)

My GP does get the letters as do I.

Cheers. I think I'm just worried that it won't be picked up on and I don't want to be a bother, but I also worry about my daughter going back to school without me having protection. I know she is very careful, but my observations of other kids outside of school seems to be big maskless groups intermingling as soon as they leave the gates.

I'll try an email to the hospital, (though last time that took over a month to get to the correct person for a response).

It was announced months ago that it would be extended to everyone over 50 for the 2019/20 flu season, not that I heard anything from my useless GP, so I just popped into a local pharmacy and got it done for free there.
They've been sending late invitation letters to the almost-50s, so I had one 3 weeks ago.

If you go with them you have a chance yourself.
Oh, I'll go with them ... the person doing their booking (over the phone) said that there was no chance, but I'm going anyway.
At the rate they are jabbing, I might have to wait another two or three weeks even if the trip on Sunday is fruitless ...

I'm still waiting, maybe another three weeks - the other three were done on Sunday (14th Feb 2021).
It was bloody cold waiting outside for them, as OH had to wait extra 15minutes after getting the Pfzier one.
