Yeah, it's supposed to be 15 mins observation for the Pfizer for allergic reactions, but no observation just 15 mins before you drive for the AZ. (Unless you have history of severe allergic reactions then it's a clinical decision for both vaccines, commonly get them to wait 30 mins if that's the case.)

Pfizer at (next to Oval) was in the last slot of the day.

There was a long queue of (youngish) people without bookings, maybe they were there to use up leftover shots at the end of the day.

I have a pcr test in my bag that I haven't had time to use (because of reporting random symptoms to the Zoe app not because of any official symptoms, my vaccine invite text came after I'd ordered it).

Has just occurred to me I maybe shouldn't use it now

Whats your thinking behind not using it now?

I was momentarily wondering maybe it would give a false positive... this is prob nonsense isn't it

So I had decided just to go online & register it & there's maybe a box to tick anyway if you've had the vaccine.

However, immediately after my jab yesterday, I got on a train to visit my partner (he lives alone so I'm probably allowed to be his support bubble, but I haven't seen him since December cos he is actually fine & not in dire need of support) so if I did it today, I would have to enter my details & post it from the wrong postcode.

Mostly - I'm not feeling as grotty as I did midweek when I was ticking boxes on Zoe & am trying to think of an excuse not to stick the swab up my nose - but I'm home tomorrow, going to do it / post it then.

I had my first dose weeks ago. A week ago I got a text from Guy's Hospital offering me appointments for the first and second doses. They sent a link which gives me only one option, which is to accept both appointments. They also sent a phone number which is continually engaged.

Accept them both. Explain, if necessary, when you turn up. The dose is the same (presuming you get the same one of course)

My local vaccination centre is closing for a while as they're running out of vaccines :(
A friend who's being a marshall just told me there seems no shortage where she is (Derbyshire) and although people have more questions, all the blood clot side effect stories don't seem to have affected take up.

(They did about 1000 people today and only had a handful of no shows which sounds very low to me.)

One NHS vaccination centre in Sussex is too, as the priority is for second doses in April, and it didn't open until Mid-Feb., so no one that has used it are due for their 2nd dose until May. The GP hubs will continue to offer first doses for the small number of people over 50 that haven't had it yet, whilst ploughing on with 2nd doses for those they vaccinated earlier.

The vaccination centre is in Taunton

Opened late Jan., so in a similar position as the Chichester one, no 2nd doses due yet, and they can't move onto the under 50s yet, so need to take a short break.

All the news recently has been about the under 50s having to wait until May, but it looks like they may start on them a little earlier, as reports today are saying the first supply of the Moderna vaccine is arriving in 3 weeks now.
