Have you had the vaccine WITH POLL

Have you had your first Covid jab?

I'm in the extremely vulnerable group.
Currently living with parents abd sis in a bubble.
My parents are due to be vaccinated next week. My sis got vaccinated yesterday as a hse worker. I've been told I now need to be vaccinated in hospital in case of an allergic reaction (previously I had a reaction to the pneumonia vaccine and am also an epipen carrier )
So I don't know when I will be vaccinated. Nobody seems to know and the local hospital says they're not set up for that...news to them. 🙄

OK I agree with your general sentiment... but what should I do now, ignore the yellow box myself and go for it too? Makes me very uncomfortable that I might be pushing in, but of course I'm desperate for one. I'd be fuming if my date is being pushed back because people in a lower age bracket are just barging ahead and the system is incapable of checking a DOB.

Get the vax, protect yourself and other people, the end.

Soooo...as of today, a further week on. 121 Urbz now jabbed at least once, 22 this week which, though lower than the last two weeks, does represent just about the running weekly average.

Figures represent 55.5% of Urbz taking part in the poll. That poll figure has jumped quite a bit this week, there are now 218 participants, about 20 more than last week, and a lot of those, probably half, were new 'NO' votes.

William of Walworth got his appointment so the thread is a lot less tense now. :) He might even join in the vote at some point.

One week on, another 19 jabbed, making 140. Running total average is still about 21.5 Urbz a week. Should have this done in 5 weeks. :hmm:

Poll participation has increased by 16 to 234.

Not much movement on those who voted 'NO'. Only down by 3 this week to 94. Should have this done in 32 weeks.

All but 60/40 on the percentage.

Has anyone had the second jab? My mam got her first one in December and the 12 weeks have passed and no follow-up. I've heard the second one can have slightly more noticeable side effects. I can't wait for my 2nd.

ETA - Checked with Doc's and she should have had an appointment by now so they're chasing it up right now.
Also, we need another poll for who has had the 2nd dose.

Interesting krink in that you are the first person to mention about (someone) not having the second dose.

As for the poll, as I explained somewhere upthread when someone else asked about a second poll for 2nd dose...I am highly reluctant to do one. Two reasons. Firstly, though the vast majority of you have been lovely, this poll has somehow got me onto someone's ignore list (my first ever, awwww!). Secondly, I was rather hoping a second jab poll would be unnecessary as it would a) just follow the first poll if the NHS continue with their competence and b) it might wind people up who haven't even had their first jab yet.

I’ve just had mine. Astra Zeneca. Didn’t feel a thing!

In Kent they book you for your 2nd jab when they book your first so I know when that’s happening. Annoying it’s not the same everywhere - my parents are in a similar situation to krink ‘s parents.

I don't think it's down to location but the way you booked your jab, and when you had your first one. I didn't get given a second date when I had mine, booked via by GP in mid-Jan, but my GF was able to book both at once, booked via the website. Same borough. The website wasn't up and running when I had my jab, so I think I'll have to trust in my GP (hah) or chase them up.

Same here - I was told they'd contact me to arrange the second one within twelve weeks.

I don't know if it's down to the CCG or the systems - my sister (also in Kent) had her first jab a week after my parents (in January) and got a date for booking her second one at the same time.

Second jabbed. (Pfizer). Didn't feel the first one, certainly felt that one. She was lovely but very young so I'm assuming she may not have jabbed too many people. Overwhelming impression is everyone connected with these jabs, IME, from admin to stabber, has been exceptionally friendly.

Oh, and I got a sticker this time. Brechlyn Covid-19. With a big tick. Saves being painted purple or something I guess.
