Have you had the vaccine WITH POLL

Have you had your first Covid jab?

We've managed to book a double date at the vaccine centre a couple of weeks from now, thanks to an Urbanite mentioning on Facebook that booking was open for our age group.

Not heard a dicky-bird from my doctor, the asthma-denying twat.

Available nationally now to over 56 year olds via the NHS website.
I liked the way that if you go via the website rather than waiting for your doctor’s letter that you get to book your second appointment at the same time. I know they could cancel at any time but it’s good to have a date in your diary.

Tried the 119 helpline, and they can't book me, because they are getting the same message.

They think it could be because the website hasn't been fully updated yet for the over 55s, and suggested I tried again tomorrow.

Has anyone over 55 had this problem or were you able to book?

I am still getting the 'We cannot find which coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine you should have from your vaccination record,' it seems to think I've had one dose already, which I haven't, bastard website, so near and yet so far.

And as of today, one week on...

99 Urbz jabbed, up from 73 this time last Sunday. Represents 50.5% of those taking part in the poll, 97 not yet jabbed (plus William of Walworth :hmm: )

Pretty consistent numbers, 27 week before this one, 26 this one.

Soooo...as of today, a further week on. 121 Urbz now jabbed at least once, 22 this week which, though lower than the last two weeks, does represent just about the running weekly average.

Figures represent 55.5% of Urbz taking part in the poll. That poll figure has jumped quite a bit this week, there are now 218 participants, about 20 more than last week, and a lot of those, probably half, were new 'NO' votes.

William of Walworth got his appointment so the thread is a lot less tense now. :) He might even join in the vote at some point.

I changed my mind

I look forward to you changing it again when the time comes. And anything that bumps this thread is good with me.

I did notice (I thought) something weird happen yesterday evening but I was too stoned to be bothered.

I'm planning (and determined!) to vote that very evening of first jab (Thursday 11th), and as soon as I can! :)

So 'at some point' my arse ... :p :D

Have you called your GP? The booking system pulls everything through from there, so if your GP has a mistake on their system, it will keep happening until the surgery corrects it.

No, I've spoken to the helpline again, they confirmed there's a blip in their system & have referred it to their IT department, and I should hear from them in the next day or two.

planetgeli - any plans to add something to the poll about the second dose? I’m curious to know how many on urban have had it thus far, as I sit here like Dave Doublejabs in my little elite club :D

I think there's a time limit to edit the poll which has passed. In truth I can't be bothered to check because this one has caused me such agro. I'm joking.

What I do think is I trust the NHS not to fuck this up so people will all get their second jab, and in a timeframe broadly similar making a poll unnecessary. I'm waiting 7 weeks, some people may wait 11-12, TopCat got his in 11 days because he's a fool (luv ya TC!). But I think it'll happen largely as this has. And if it doesn't, people won't be shy about posting their ire.

Enjoy your club of one while it lasts. (Actually there's definitely others who've been jabbed twice. kalidarkone springs to mind for one).

This seems like the most relevant thread to post this: they’ve started on the 40-49s in hackney (Bethnal green area) it seems - friend of mine, 47, no conditions (disgustingly healthy in fact) has just been invited for jab on Thursday.
They've only just started on the 50-55s , I got a text this morning and have booked the jab on 3rd April (earliest appointment I could get was the day before) I have no health conditions.
