Jackie Weaver is a fine Australian actor
Oh is it a joke? I thought it was just providing a legal opinionoh that cheery amazon sense of viral humour
I made a joke about Animal Kingdom up thread which went completely unremarked.Jackie Weaver is a fine Australian actor
And does she?You can also ask Alexa if Jackie Weaver has authority here
“As long as there is reasonable behaviour, she has authority here”And does she?
I would certainly be writing a very strongly worded letter to Amazon if they started claiming that Jackie Weaver has authority in my home.

A very underwatched video remix if you ask me
Watch one of the music YouTube remix videos. They’re only a couple of minutes long and contain the catchphrases that have gone viral.I haven’t even watched it, have just enjoyed reading about it
I first heard of this yesterday when I was listening to Novara media.
They found it most amusing.
I saw the clips and was no plussed about it,
Ive had long involvement in community groups over the years ( depending on my limited time ) and these kinds of rows/ disagreements aren't uncommon.
This might be extreme example but I was more upset that due to pandemic and zoom meetings this row got all over the internet.
In the normal state of affairs the meeting would have been face to face and not on internet.
Lesson be very wary of Zoom/Team meetings.
To be frank community politics/ involvement in local community groups is a mix between groups who work well and those that are dysfunctional.
Some implode and fall by the wayside. Others end up being run by tin pot dictators. The last third everyone get on and everyone works well with each other.
This is rough summary of how local community organisations work in practise.
I like Novara media but after watching how these left activists viewed this Parish Council row I wonder how much actual involvement they have with grass roots Cr issues.
All this may be true but it’s so cheerless.
We’re good at a national running joke on these isles (Boaty McBoatFace, David Blaine getting trolled in his glass box, Jack Dee never being voted out) and this is a good one.
I couldn’t watch it cos I suspect it would be too excruciating and in fact depressing rather than funny
Pre pandemic I could go through a particularly difficult meeting ,go down the pub and have a laugh then forget about it move on.
With internet- Zoom/Team it appears these everyday arguments can go viral for peoples entertainment
Really not happy with this.
If you can't laugh at awful, misogynistic men with anger management issues facing national humiliation for utterly cuntish behaviour that they thought there would be no comeback on, then what can you laugh at?Pre pandemic I could go through a particularly difficult meeting ,go down the pub and have a laugh then forget about it move on.

Don't see why its cheerless.
The examples you give were not that funny to me.
Some people give up some of their valuable time working for their communities.
Looking at recording of one parish council to have a laugh at people is something to be frank I find slightly disturbing.
And what I said in previous post is accurate of how local communiity groups pan out.
Ive had to deal with situations at meeting in groups where things have got out of hand.
Ive also got pretty upset in some of my inter actions with my local Cllrs/ officers over issues.
So no Im not being cheerless Im being realistic. And Im not going to get drawn into seeing this as amusing.
So maybe Im not part of the "we". So be it.
Even pre-covid times, both my local councils live streamed their meetings & then uploaded the recordings to their sites and/or youtube.
Council meetings should be open to maximum public access, both in person & online, and that's how democracy should work, so I am puzzled why you think otherwise.
