Yes it does have wifi in some places

Here's some photos from the Leftfield that were taken today (not much mud I'm afraid  ) http://www.leftfield.coop/

Hopefully there should be some video soon too :)

Anyone heard what it's like weather-wise there yet?

Pretty grim here in Cornwall today :(
The heavens have opened according to Reuters and rain is predicted each day - it only take a little bit of rain to ruin a festival. I feel a bit sad for the revellers but also a bit muntz too

We had rain for a bit this morning but now the sun's out and it's no very muddy. All is good with the world

i waded around in the worst mud in glastonbury and it was still an amazing experience.

(at times ;) )

but seriously guys enjoy yourselves for me too please. i am dead jealous!!

i saw tastebud and ed and eme leaving brixton on wendsday at a ridiculous early hour in the morning...

Yes I agree - I have been at some glastos (eg. 1997) when the rain was torrential and it was still absolutely mindblowingly amazing.

If you want to have a good time, you'll have one, innit - good weather's just an added bonus...

I am soooo jealouse too!

yes it is all great,

...but who is in on a nic'n'dry saturday night glasto telly session :)

-slippers and pipe etc

That'll be me. Mrs F is going away all weekend, and even taking the dogs with her :D I've got a big bag of weed and fuck all to do. Bring on Shirley Bassey! :)

That's not , I was being :p.

I remember when you had to queue for hours to use those shitty phone boxes, after queing to get a card -- in fact, I never queued because nobody had a phone anyway. It was a lot of fun going to places to try to meet people; most of the time you only met them when you got back home :D

Still, have a good time everyone :)

*shivers*

I was there in 97, and haven't been back since.

Even though I'd been to several sunny ones (92, 93, 94), my best night ever was at a the muddy one in 97. Dancing till morning in the sacred space...

Wish I was there :(

It's always bloody miserable on the Sunday if it's been pissing it down though -- partied out, cold and wet -- just want to get home.

If it's sunny -- it's lovely chilling by the tent while others pack their's away

Quite nice down in Cornwall today so I'm hoping the weather's as nice up in Somerset.

You may be in luck - maybe the weather forecasters were erring on the side of caution.

</famous last words> ;)

The forecasts on the BBC last night looked good -- even a patch of sunshine over the area on Saturday :)

If you think Glastonbury is a good opportunity to come and experiment with drugs; police, the organisers and medical staff would strongly advise against it.

The site is huge – the size of a large town – and it is very easy to get lost and disorientated at the best of times.

You could also find yourself being prosecuted for 'trying something for the first time'.

First offence or not, you could be ejected from the site and miss the festival entirely for the sake of one mad moment.

Yeah, one mad 72 hour long moment. Oh dear. :(

Posting from the festie - waiting for my phone to charge so nothing else to do!

Mud, mud, glorious mud - having a ball. Dancing to salsa in mud has to be a first tho.

Fucking phone is taking FOREVER:mad:

Just watching the telly coverage and it looks like there's a bit of a gap in the crowd around the mix desk by the Pyramid Stage these days.

Is that a thing for a mobile TV camera or something?
Are they fencing the crowd off now?

I do hope not.

-nostalgia-

i was there at 1997 too!

-nostalgia-

about 4 weeks after my arrival too britain. i was so innocent then! i did love the nick cave act big time who else was there?!!

-nostalgia-

damit i was busy drinking last night that my glasto watching plans went out the window, i could not even focus last night anymore...i will catch up tonight though. :)

would have loved to see the arcade fire set too

The clip with that posh couple who flew in from Ascot is online here.

"We will be wearing different trousers when we go down there."

Their 'luxury tent' cost 6 grand, apparently.

Good Lord above. Has it really come to this?

Posting from chill n charge, it's very muddy and my poor feet are fucking cold.
Still having fun though, gogol bordello and arcade fire were fantastic.

I'm so looking forward to a bath and a bed on monday though.

Next year will be dry won't it William?
