Glastonbury 2007 pt2: the festie!

Rushing to get out the door now and start my long journey to Pilton via Devon. With any luck I should be on site sometime around midnight... :)

What is this camping trip you all speak of?
Is there a little 'pop show' at the clubhouse too? Sounds OK, is there space for a little 'un?

right, last mouthful of tea, and then i'm off. see you lovely people in a field x

just had a bath.. that's the last time i'll be properly clean for five days :)

but not the last time i'll be soaking wet :D

Just had a minty fresh shower...Im slow moving this morning...had a bottle of wine late last night....going to pop into town to sort out my torch (can't figure out how to open for battery, been this way for months and I leave it till today) but that gives me a chance to grab a morning after juice from the top notch juice bar. Hoping to leave West Mids by about 1pm.....:D

I hate to break it to you, but it won't be your last bath this week. :D :p

Have a good one folks, I'm gutted but dry.

Just had a report from the gf, she's in the blue zone, tent up, no rain, windy as fuck but the ground is bone dry.

I couldn't afford it this year. :(

Have a good 'un, everyone. :)

It's not raining down here in Cornwall right now. It's blowing a fucking gale, like, but it's dry - dunno if that helps.

yarbles, my lift's just fallen through, anyone going up toniht or tomorrwo from london with room for a little one?

Have a great one everybody - hope the mud isn't too horrible!:D Can we have trip reports from those online and still capable of typing please?:D

Well, I have had my reports today from MrV, sparklefish and magic sam.

Ground firm and only a couple of very light showers today, so no massive rain stuff whilst putting their tents up.

The Park has a wonderful beer tent with proper sofas and they didnt want to leave it but felt obliged to have a wander. They are just waiting for Dub to call them to meet up cause they havent long got there.

They were all spannered and my MrV didnt leave me so much as a sniff of a j to ensure my sleep tonight

One more sleep for me :D :D :D

Heard from our mates who were going to camp in the Dragon, but didn't get there in time as they were stuck in awful traffic. They've ended up in Pennards, but i hope they haven't camped too far down  They were Glasto virgins in 05 and wanted to camp at the bottom of Pennards till we dragged them up to the Dragon. Pennards already sounds busy and everyone's cheering like a mexican wave over the field, so the vibe sounds great...

Bit miffed that we are going on a Thurs for the first time in years. No chance of the Dragon for us this year, but we do have other plans, so it's not so bad.

Mostly sad that we'll miss the solstice sunrise at the stone circle, but all packed and ready to go. Just chilling now and watching the Glasto boards.

Hopefully we'll be at the cider bus tomorrow at 8, but i'm kind of working the festie and there's talk of a meeting 'in the evening'

Me too
Life - work - bills

I heard they are making it difficult for people to get to Avebury this year
