Watching the replay it is testament to the safety of the cars that he got out at all. But fuck me I'd not want to have been in that car.

And the marshals must have been on it so quickly. Massive respect to them.

The safety car follows them round for the first lap don't they, looked like they were first on the scene.

Mrs Dess, who is a recent convert to F1, is a bit of a fan of his. I've not seen her so involved in any sport as she is at the moment.

I think the FIA will have to look at the barriers on the straights after this, looking at the pictures there appears to be a small horizontal gap between the barriers on that straight which the car must have hit to go through like it did, on the corners I think the barriers are overlapped. Lessons must be learned from this for sure. Grosjean not being knocked out or seriously injured is the reason he is still alive, a very lucky guy
